In FFXIV, there are no limits on gear, xp, or how many instances you can do, and somehow, it works just fine.
Do this!
Yes and each game is different with each of these systems being different, because they’re all different games.
Yeah, not a new type.
And frankly, from my memories of the changes that happened in TOR after it went f2p, I’d be hesitant to follow their lead on much.
Gotta always keep the solo player down. You know they loath giving us nice things.
Sounds like you should try the other 95% of endgame content and play with other players, what this game was designed for.
Or, and hear me out, they can stop trying to force people into groups for everything and let us have something nice for a change.
You mean with people like you or the Evoker, I’ll pass, if I’ve seen anything from this feature coming it’s that the toxicity of some people in this community is stronger than ever and reinforces why stuff like this needs to exist and be expanded.
Obviously, that 20 year old design doesn’t work anymore since subs have super declined.
They should lower the xp to almost nothing for completion. That way it allows players the ability to see the story, turn in and do quests, and learn the dungeon without the pressure of peers so that they can go do the normal dungeon with real players.
MMO doesn’t necessarily mean you have to play with other humans. Like instances you have the ability to solo all the main difficulty while group play for higher difficulty like mythic pluses.
Followers will no doubt extend to heroic and maybe mythic someday but not now.
Okay, this right here is uncalled for. No one at any point at any time insulted anyone by calling them stupid or what they said. Why you would try to paint what I said in this manner is just offensive.
I have never insulted you personally and our conversation was very nice up until the semantics which would have just spiraled the conversation, which I didn’t want to happen.
I never devolved this conversation and I resent the fact that you just did. What a terrible thing to say.
Yeah, make a new feature that has no rewards and expect people to even use it!
Yeah, that happens when a video game is 20 years old. Pacman probably isn’t as popular as it was in the 80’s either.
Exactly, old game design doesn’t work anymore! Thanks for agreeing.
What rewards? It’s normal dungeons. The rewards will be super low item level gear that nobody will use longer than an hour after hitting max level.
I guess easy leveling of those bots? But that’s not super efficient.
If what I suspect is true, in that they lowered the XP due to concerns over killing LFD queues, how would you fix that to make sure LFD wasn’t dead?
Bots can already level in dungs currently.
No one cares about this anyway. Why would I care when I can instant queue into a follower dungeon as dps?
