Follower Dungeons - Initial Daily Limit

Yeah, I didn’t think about that and that’s a good point. My hope is that dungeons will feel like the end dungeon in Exile’s Reach, where it’s quick and smooth and you get all the story, gear and exp that you need. Exile’s Reach was very well done as far as I can tell.

Per account?

For me it’s a lot, but I’m just saying people see a limit and then judge it negatively. 10 would be just fine for someone like me realistically.

This is a mistake, and hopefully Blizzard loosens this restriction sooner rather than later.

I agree with this line of thought. On weekdays there’s no way I’m getting “my 10” in. On weekends I might hit the limit, but that’s not the end of the world for me.

Heck, if they only doubled it to 20, the limit might as well not exist for me personally.

It’s been nerfed since. You get around 71 XP from an elite mob.

This is correct. It’s a story mode, similar to other MMORPGs that have them.

This is why I feel like people are over exaggerating / crying over nothing. This limit, even at its most stringent affects a tiny proportion of those this feature is aimed towards, and on top of that has already been announced to be temporary.

It’s like people see the word limit and immediately start screeching without thinking.

Welcome to GD. lol

Brackenhide felt smooth for me, gear seemed pretty decent but the xp wasn’t there. Now I did go AFK just to see what happened and it made it harder some of the AI died once I started back up the flow went like you would expect with everyone pulling their own weight

I’m lying in bed drinking red wine from a toddler’s sippy cup so as not to stain the sheets.

Living my best life now it’s the weekend.

Considering the target audience is probably all the folks who want to spend all afternoon seeing the sights and art and cutscenes, it will probably be closer to 6.

I’m lying in bed with two humidifiers, a box of tissues and a bottle of Mucinex. The Head Cold from Hell struck my household, thanks to Typhoid Mary (aka, my brother). We’ve all been sick since New Years. lol

I’m going to hazard a guess here that the follower dungeons are going to be a much easier/faster way to obtain gear then normal (Or at least chances of getting gear), hence why the 10 daily limit exists…

Story mode --its so the very tiny part of the comunity that wont do group content can see the story of the dungeon , or players can learn to tank or heal --10 a day suits teh latter , 1 a day suits teh story part

this will still happen at first when people will ‘try out the new feature’ , limiting it to 10 per account will lessen teh impact

This is bad design logic. If they’re going to limit the number of dungeons that we can run, then why also limit the rewards?

That seems incorrect. Blizzard don’t bill it as a story mode, they bill it as a dungeon with bots. You can still get gear and other items. While plot elements are explored, as they already were, they’re still just a dungeon with bots, apparently.

So they continue with the dungeon even if you go afk?

The limit won’t hit me on most days since I have to leave the house and bust my tail at work most days of the week, but on the weekends I can rack up those hours. With 20-30 specs I don’t feel comfortable playing but would like to try, the 10 per day limit puts a damper on my weekend plans. Hopefully the limit increases at some point and this feature is a hit because I really want to see it added to all past expansion dungeons. Tired of abandoning all the legion dungeon quests when I finish a zone.

They’re actually slower, and the gear you get from them is damn near useless and easily replaced from any number of end game content sources including those that do not require other players.

As it stands, the only “Use” for the feature is to help you dot the I’s and cross the T’s with dungeon quests without having to actually queue up with people. As well as let you explore and experience the zone itself.

…Well normal dungeon loot that is good for catching-up to begin to catch up.

But either way, Blizzard pretty much introduced another solo way of getting gear, and i’m guessing it’s inclusion compicates things for Blizzard, wanting players to not be too geared up easily.

Seems like a waste of a feature, and not what people were really asking for.

I’d need more details to say for sure, but I think there could be some issues.

Given the plethora of ways to gear that are both quicker and more rewarding than this, which also don’t require other people, I don’t think gear is a consideration when it comes to the cap.

Not everything fits a narrative, and trying to twist it as such when all evidence points the other way makes little sense.

…Where did i state this is exactly what Blizzard is doing? All i’m doing is guessing. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I mean call it nuts, but i don’t think it’s just exactly bots… at least not entirely… Their has to be another reason for this.

i agree blizz marketed this as asort of alternative to playing with other players but then did a rugpull last minute and said we changed ourminds its just for learning dungeons now. so either blizzs marketing team messed up or their devs messed up again.
