Even if you didn’t play back then or in Classic Era, it’s been part of the system and you at least were pvping during P1 and 2. They haven’t changed the rules on needing 15 HKs to rank up. Do you not use things like Ranker?

The requirement was not stated in the bluepost. It’s also nowhere to be found in-game…likely because there was never any need, because in a world before these commendations, getting all that honor without HKs wouldn’t have been possible.
Which is why it’s odd that STV doesnt give HKs and that there was no mention of the requirement in the bluepost that seemed to outline clearly what we had to do.
Which is why it SHOULD HAVE been mentioned.
Problem with this way of thinking to try and manipulate this to be a player error is an addon delivers that information.
No, I just used [WoW Classic Era / Season of Discovery Honor Calculator (soffe. github .io) which makes no mention of it.
Actually yes, since we are on the same exact client as era and the same exact patch (1.15) we can absolutely assume pvp and ranking will work the exact same way.

This again is erroneously assuming everyone just knows about that requirement already when clearly we didn’t. It was a big oversight for it to not be included in the bluepost.
I get called a shill all the time defending blizzard’s decisions that people don’t like but this is not something that anyone should be defending. There’s nothing to defend here. Blizzard left out a key detail and a bunch of people are now paying for it when we shouldn’t be. There is nothing to defend on their part, nor is there any reason to attack those of us who didn’t play original classic.
There’s no reason for blizzard to not AT MINIMUM allow us to recover our commendations to use them again - ranks are capped anyway so its not like there’s anything people who had their rank up go through could even abuse by allowing it. And frankly that’s the least they could do in this situation :\
They stated pretty heavily prelaunch there are many things they cannot touch because of the same client.
Talent configuration, ranking, ally getting shaman and horde getting paladin, raid ID lockouts, are all things they cannot touch because of shared clients.
And none of that is relevant to this so whats your point here?

Of course you needed 15 hks. That has always been the minimum requirement to get credit no matter how the honor was acquired.

Uh great point meanwhile the ranking is literally done differently with set values- you didnt rank in vanilla did you? Also there is no degradation. It can be altered, willingness to hire the members competent to do so must be the problem. You make your shill trolling to attempt to fluster people way too obvious brotha, hope things get better for you.
Big problem with that is they dramatically nerfed the honor commendations from STV (unnecessarily), so it would take literally 4x the work that I already put in. I love the STV event but theres 0 chance of me spending an obscene amount of time in BGs to get something that I should have already got today, already put the work in for, and should absolutely be resolved (alongside everyone else in the same boat) by blizzard given the fact their faulty instructions are the reason this is an issue in the first place.
If they hadn’t nerfed the hell out of the commendations this phase I would MAYBE consider re-doing the 20+ hours I put into getting the honor the first time, but Im not spending 80 hours for something I already earned.

Not everyone played Classic 19 or Vanilla. Not everyone knows the requirements for each ranking (or any ranking) by heart. The 15 HK requirement is nowhere in game and was omitted from the bluepost.

It’s also peculiar the number of people trying to insinuate somehow I was lazy or didnt play the game at all (lol) so here’s one of the two affected toons. Not sure why anyone would even claim something like this is the fault of the players, but since some do, I may as well post on my SoD character so people can see that their assumptions are in fact false.
I guarantee it was in chat on your server every 15s the entire time you were grinding those coins. It was on lone wolf so it surely was on the carebear server you play on.
Literally nobody said a word about it and I HIGHLY doubt anyone said anything about it on your server but Im not going to be like you and pretend to know anything about what you have or havent seen
