Flying was poorly done

I think you are saying that the Shadowlands expansion is not designed around flying. It is not designed to make flying wonderful.

So what? Who ever said it should be? Who ever said that ANY expansion should be designed to make flying useful? That isn’t a rule for “good MMO design”, as you would know if you were a good MMO designer.

Flying was fabulously useful in Nazjatar and Highmountain. Especially if you were a gatherer in Nazjatar.

Then they’ve lost the point of having flying from the get-go.

It’s not ridiculous. It was done intentionally, for reasons.

But you hate it, so your desire to fly in the maw is more important (to you) than those reasons. Fair enough.

Flying worked perfectly fine from TBC through Mists. It was never an issue until Blizz made it an issue. Just because they needed to artificially slow players down by removing flying from the game. Then they added it back with this terrible system that just strings you along for months and months.

It’s just another tool the devs use to manipulate the players. It used to be they added things like flying because they wanted the game to be FUN. Now it’s just a tedious chore. No wonder subs continue to plummet.

Since when? Are we going to ignore Broken Shore and Nazjatar?

Pretty sure that this is how they’ve been handling flying since WoD. You know, when they announced they weren’t going to let us fly in any new zones ever? Personally, I preferred the way they did things in Cata – where you could fly in the new zones from the git-go, while leveling.

I didn’t know they were part of this expansion.

That was their point.

Of course, they’ve made towers that require giants to toss you up, and there’s a huge disconnect bug when they toss you to the ground (Revendreth Assault). That on top of keeping you locked out of the game costs you stygia, but that’s Blizz’s idea of “content” these days.

Now you’re moving goalposts.

No, I was never talking about anything but Shadowlands.

thats the point

You’re complaining as it was something of shadowlands only…

TBC: We can’t fly in Draenei and Blood Elf start zones.
MoP: We can’t fly in Island of Thunder, Island of giants and Timeless island.
Legion: We can’t fly in Argus.

And it remains the same nowdays. We stil can’t fly over those places.

Then reword your post. But you’re also still incorrect.

LoL. I’ve got better things to do than fulfill your grammar requests.

The thing that annoys me about flying in shadowlands (other than it coming later than I felt it should have) is that all of the zones are disjointed, which means that you have to constantly go back to oribos and fly to the zones on a flight path

Man they really never shoulda split the difference with these flying obsessive people.

Just stop making zones that support it entirely, leave flying in the old world, call it good.

Some people will never be happy

OR, flying was done in the most malicious way possible by devs who grump at the playerbase who keep wanting it.

This way they can say they -gave it- earlier patchwise.

This way they can say no pathfinder was needed.

This way they can act like they were the good guys and players all mean jerks who should be ignored.

It is 100% intentional. Learn it, be pissed, demand better.
