No, it doesn’t. The end.

OP, you need to buy calendar 1st thing, because you clearly don’t know when to post Troll Threads. Next, you need to pick a different toon to make the Troll Thread on (maybe a Troll)

You are beating a really, really, really, really, really, really dead horse here. Like others have said, go play Classic. Better yet, give yourself a permanent forum vacation from the Retail forums and go post in the Classic forums.

-100 originality
-100 wrong date to post Troll Thread
-100 wrong toon to post this thread
+25 right name for a Forum Troll

OP, You are indebted of 175 points.

looks at sub numbers from TBC and WotLK then looks at WoD

Yeah sit down…

It’s almost as if classic didn’t have flying… Just wait til the BC servers pop up and just how much better it is.

As opposed to just running through all the mobs. Or stealth. Besides which, some mob that you’ll kill in 2 hits is not what I would call “danger”.

The devs tried to get rid of it entirely because they’re too lazy to design zones with flight in mind. Half the player population left. GG Ion.

WPvP died when the introduced BGs.

The world is dead because there’s no content and you can instantly teleport to anything relevant.

Name one. Nothing? Thought so.

I just did

The whole gameplay aspect of skipping the world in world of Warcraft is ridiculous

Not to mention what it does to pvp, not to mention that it makes the world completely empty cause u just swoop in from a mile up then fly away

Terrible gameplay

For some, perhaps.

I for one enjoy the game so much more when I get to fly. It allows me to experience/explore the world from new angles.

The Pathfinder timegate is, in it’s current design, horrible.

By all means, make it require you to play through the story and the main quests of each zone. Make it require you to explore the entire zone before being able to fly in it.

But remove the awful reputation-requirements that have nothing to do with flying anyway.

And also, make pathfinder part 1 unlock flying in the initial areas of the new zones when completed.

Part 2 should only unlock eventual new areas/zones that are being added in a later patch.

If a lot of wpvp’ers want it so, restrict what areas you can fly in/over if you opt into the Warmode-feature.

Again, for a lot of players, it would make even less sense now to remove flying as an option.

Not just regarding the practicality of it. But the immersion as well. And the sense of progression it adds for many players.

I’m thinking of changing it, I’ve had this look a long time

But you can skip without flying. Easily. I haven’t stopped to kill a mob on the way to a rare since 8.1. Let’s also not forget stealth classes, summons, instant teleports to dungeons etc. I’d also add that not being able to fly reduces convenience, thus ensuring fewer people bother doing quests that aren’t near a flightpath (which again allows you to skip content by going AFK while it takes you there). The “but you skip da content” argument is a fallacy.

If Blizzard cared about WPvP they wouldn’t have made WoW. The tiniest population that engages in it has been out of luck since WSG was introduced and removed the need for TM vs SS. We’ve all seen how “successful” warmode was without flight, and that should be enough evidence that the PvP argument is useless.

Simply put, flight is a huge thing for a lot of players. When Blizzard tried to remove it, we left. In the millions, forcing Blizzard to backpeddle massively because it was costing them money. If you don’t like it you’re welcome not to use it, or to play classic or one of the other MMOs (lel). For the rest of us, it makes the game more fun and without it we’re just going to stop playing.
