Flying is 'at a nice middle ground'

Phumbles was the same person posting constantly that taking away portals was no big deal, too. I just disregard this person and move on. They are purposely obtuse.

Irony being if he doesnt like flight and portals, no one is forcing him to use either.
Unlike him, I dont try to get taken from others just because I dont use it.
If I did, Pet battles would have been stripped from the game a while ago.

Exactly. That’s where the entitlement is. If we wanted to take away something they wanted to use, they’d be freaking out and calling us out on it. Us flying takes nothing away from them.

Truly it was a game killer, it’s never recovered. They confirmed they had bounced back to 10 million subs at beginning of WoD. Loss of flight cut it in half, now lost 80% of playerbase since WoD launch.

Honestly, when I first hit WoD (I started when legion was current content) I was soo frikkin annoyed when I found out about PF that i was going to quit entirely. But my brother in law and his wife play, my wife does as well, so I stuck with it because of them.
I got the water strider on my two accounts, which made getting around easier, at least, where I didnt have flight.

its absolutely amazing that this game has SOOOOOO much potential and the jokers at the helm are bent on making it the WORST game on the market.

WoW literally could mop the floor with most games out there, even with this T-rex of an engine under the hood, but they have decided to be so lazy about content and so controlling, that instead of leaving this game with a legacy some day that will last for years and years after its dead, apparently theyve decided to make sure we’re all looking back thinking about the trash content and every bad decision they made instead.

If the MoP portals arent replaced for my lowbie characters I love playing there is no reason for me to keep playing this game. I HATE current content so they’d better find some way to stop screwing over OLD content or I have no reason to continue playing.

I doubt that very much. I have enjoyed playing this game since vanilla. Flying can be convenient. At times too convenient that it feels like an exploit.

Middle ground for flying would have been keeping things the way they were pre-pathfinder (nothing was broken, no need to fix) and people that don’t want to fly for whatever ungodly reason can stay on their ground mounts and not spend the gold, people that do want to fly can purchase.

Just saying, with the means at hand, if you wanted an alt you can have an alt. There isn’t much in your way, especially with the massive XP reductions that have happened lately.

Is Azerite alt-unfriendly? Eh… sure, I guess. But I personally don’t put much stock in that number. Does it exclude my alts from certain end-game content? Possibly. But it’s not a massive hurdle to overcome either.

At least when you had to pay for flying it didn’t take anywhere near as long as the wait for pathfinder part 2. Flying was never broken and shouldn’t have been changed. 5000g is pennies compared to the ungodly wait for a time gated achievement.

I put my hearth at Halfhill, farm potral shards and other stuff and then use my garrison hearths. Makes it easier to get to a few places.

But the no flying thing while I’m going around Draenor is a PITA. I got my waterstrider but the trees are so dense in places I can’t see where things are and have to go ALL the way around twice trying to find a road up to things I have to do. I am terrible in forests, I fly up to get my bearings and get to hard to reach places.

In all honesty Pathfinder is not a bad concept. The problem is that it needs to be unlock-able from launch. Not unnecessarily gated behind patches. To have people sitting on the completed achievements and requirements for months until patch arrives is TERRIBLE GAME DESIGN.

Agreed. The feature is simply absent and as of right now they cannot point to a date that it will be available. When it does eventually become available it will be possibly 1 year or more since launch and the content is completely pointless and irrelevant. How anyone could think that is a nice middle ground is beyond me.
