Personally, I don’t want to have to worry about my travel mode being some kind of mini-game.
I’ll reserve judgement until I actually get to try it, but I hope that regular flying will eventually be added back in.
Also, the whole “jump, flap, and glide” mechanic makes sense for winged mounts, but not for the great many that don’t have wings at all. I think that would look pretty silly on my flying disc or carpet or gyrocopter.
