Look, I know the pro-fliers will try to eat me alive, but I really, REALLY hope there are Flight Masters and ground paths for content.
EDIT for more context: The whole ‘realistic’ flying thing seems like adding needless busywork to a function that was very straightforward otherwise, and it having actual levels of effectiveness sounds like a bad, bad time.
The thing for me is dragon flying by itself is not a feature i value high enough to purchase the expansion. If the game continues to make RNG-WASTE MY TIME-CONTENT I won’t be on board. When you can go an entire week without an upgrade or other advancement the game is broken. This is what Blizzard does not get, they have not been valuing our time just to stretch a sub? It’s not fun nor rewarding and it seems with the vault of nothing is staying in the game. Next expansion will feel same as now but with dragons.
While I’m a massive fan of the dragon flying system the one thing I dislike is that I won’t be able to fly around my friend in DF, she really loves hitching a ride and sounded pretty sad over it. Hope we get a two person option for our dragon or something like that.
At least you have a set expectation…I think 1 upgrade a week throughout the whole season might be a bit much. In the beginning, sure…but it would become unsustainable through the course of a season
DRAGON RIDING isn’t flying nor is it replacing Traditional Flying and are not Replacing Flight Points nor is it Replacing Ground Mount. Dragon Riding is more of a gliding system and it’s Optional.
Is it? My understanding is that since it’s there (in some capacity) from the start, “for free”, and intrinsic to the land, that it’s going to be used to get to different places.
In fact, as I understand it, some places will be inaccessible until you’ve improved your flying.
I don’t know where you heard that but the developers wouldn’t do that and they have to think about those who decided to use their ground mount and not use the dragon riding system to traverse the four zones. And to discover places and go to places.
