The game isn’t made for the 51%, it’s made to accommodate many types of players. It also isn’t a binary decision.
SL is coming out soon. You can hold your breath that they will change this before then but good luck.

Gonna need your source on that.
This thread has posts every month since July 2019, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down, as we get closer to the Shadowlands Beta. Unless they change how flying is earned in each expansion, the topic will keep going, I would guess. Personally, if they want to give players a choice, or “agency,” they would allow a purchase per character, and a meta achievement for the entire account. That, and split the flying to unlock in the initial zones for PF1, and then in the new zones for PF2.
It’s funny you think there are that many people that dislike flying.
By your own admission you fall into “my view”.
It’s funny that you keep peddling people “not liking flying” like you can only like it or not and there is no in between.
There is no in between imo. I don’t see how anyone can sit there and say they like flying except in the first year of the expansion. It makes zero sense.
I don’t mind it while you’re leveling. There is absolutely no reason to gate it beyond level cap though, it’s just a waste of time and an exercise in frustration.
I like flying except in the first ~4-6 months of the expansion. Nobody cares about your opinion on what they can like. Again you are making up a false dichotomy so you can fake logical authority on your position.
I’ll argue for flying right at cap until we get it, I quit for good, or the game dies. Whichever comes first.
Yes, yes it did and anyone who says different is lying to themselves.
This thread has never even been inactive for a full month, can’t necro what has never died.
The Shadowlands squish is going to remove two Pathfinders, Draenor and Legion. Those zones will be part of the pay gold to fly types, though what that will mean for those of us who ground out Pathfinders, I don’t know. Given Blizzard’s track record I wouldn’t be surprised if we had to buy it again.
Oh, I hope not. Especially since I am advocating that the achievements allow flying from level 10. You know, to give them purpose, other than the mounts or + flight speed.
“Oniana-lightnings-blade
Nobody cares about your opinion on what they can like.”
Maybe you should listen to what you are saying and apply it to yourself. I consider your opinion to be that of a paid shill or somebody suffering from Stockholm syndrome. I am starting you were one of those people that played 16 hours a day and consumed all the content and then complained. To appease people like you blizzard had to put up nasty time gates so you would have something to do. How about they give us back flight and you try other activities besides wow so you don’t burn through all the content.
What content? All the ground content since WoD out in the world has been trash and most rewards have also been trash. If it was not the crutch of titanforging it would be way worse IMO.
Looool. I don’t play anywhere near that much time, in fact the person I was replying to says I don’t play enough because I don’t finish the entire launch content within one month.
Guess what? You won’t be flying any time soon in SL
Does it make you feel good to use the whole appeal to authority? Are you actually glad some people won’t enjoy the game as much?
That wasn’t an appeal to authority. Appeal to authority would have been me saying blizzard isn’t changing it so you lose. I didn’t say anything of the sort in my reply to him. I simply stated the fact that he won’t be flying at max level, which is the current truth we know.
But I am sure he appreciates you white knighting for him.
Looks like an appeal to authority to me. Just gloating because this person will have less fun.
That’s because you don’t understand what appeal to authority is. If you want to keep trying to make this about me I am not engaging you any further in your attempts to derail the discussion about pathfinder.
