I was there in WoD. I played the game and held out until flying was supposed to come back. Then 6.1 came and it wasnât in. Kept waiting then suddenly one weekend blizz announced on a 3rd party website that flight wasnât coming back in current and future content. They reversed that decision in a week as I and players like me unsubbed as soon as that announcement went public. So get absolutely fuarked. People accepted their pledge at the start of WoD that flying was coming soon on good will which steadily dried up as Blizz stayed silent throughout the whole event until that 3rd party announcement
What leads you to this conclusion? There is literally no reason for you to fly if you donât want to, regardless of the ability. If it is an issue of pvp, war mode on/off toggle; problem solved. If you donât like flying, what gives you the right to say what others should do? Pathfinder is a decent compromise to experience the story as designed, but it goes too far in my opinion. The Exploration and even the story chapters complete should be all it takes. You have then âexperiencedâ the content as designed on the ground. Rep grinds are too steep at revered as you will not hit those most likely while completing the chapters.
I have a very logical argument. Indeed, Argumentum ad populum which I did look up in google does prove me correct.
According to Wikipedia:
The argumentum ad populum can be a valid argument in [inductive logic; for example, a poll of a sizeable population may find that 100% prefer a certain brand of product over another. A [cogent] (strong) argument can then be made that the next person to be considered will also very likely prefer that brand (but not always 100% since there could be exceptions), and the poll is valid evidence of that claim. However, it is unsuitable as an argument for [deductive reasoning]wiki/Deductive_logic) as proof , for instance to say that the poll proves that the preferred brand is superior to the competition in its composition or that everyone prefers that brand to the other.
Thus, my inductive logic in pointing out that my vast (125!!) number of hearts clearly means that I have my finger on the pulse of what the majority want (and not every single player/poster) is indeed correct.
I further put forth that when you look at the number of replies for this post you will see a statement when you hover over the orange number which states my topic has âan extremely high like to post ratioâ.
That is coming straight from the mouth of Blizzard not me.
This also, via inductive logic does prove me correct.
LOL. Itâs not an âargumentâ. âLikesâ indicate accord by those who âlikeâ the post⌠just as formerly âdislikesâ indicated disagreement.
I realize this is hard for you to understand, but it really is that simple.
The delay of flight is one of the worst decisions they have made in the history of the game.
Itâs not just bad because people want to, but itâs bad because itâs a crappy business model. People are already paying to buy the game, then paying a subscription to play it, and now you extend those things because some developer has his dream of what fun is.
More people would stay subbed for longer, if Blizzard got out of their way and allowed them to enjoy the game. Who cares if they want to pick flowers or mine ore, they are still playing.
Time gating content in a subscription based game is a poor business model and anybody with integrity within Blizzard should be ashamed of supporting it.
Itâs like they are selling us this walk through a park, and then they one day discovered that we would move more slowly if they covered the path in a few feet of mud. If we move more slowly, weâll stay longer right?
When flight opens up it should just be those zone chapters being done that is all that is required to get flight.
If its honestly about âimmersionâ there is quite enough of it by getting that far along in the storylines. The rep grinding is just sadistic.
Raistlin my boy, youâre trying to argue that youâ're correct because a lot of people say youâre correct. Thatâs about as effective as Trump claiming his policies are sound because of twitter likes.
Likes could indicate that someone likes the character name.
Likes could indicate that someone likes the overuse of italics.
Likes could indicate that someone is looking forward to the schadenfreude.
Likes could indicate nearly anything.
Dislikes? Donât like the poster, donât like the topic, donât like the posting style, donât like the grammar/spelling, reader is in a foul mood, etc.
Dislikes were indicative of just as wide a variety of things.
