Will there be a flexible raid mechanic at the start of Pandaria? I remember that this mechanic appeared in 5.4. As we’ve found several mechanics that didn’t exist before in Cataclysm, blizzard could launch this flexible raid mechanic right at the start of the mop, what do you think?
no it will not, MoP’s flex mode was its own difficulty tier for Siege of Orgrimmar that was between LFR and Normal difficulty.

No and stop asking for it. Even if they would add that to Siege of Orgrimmar somehow (which it never was in 5.4, it was just a raid difficulty), they would still have to implement that on 4 different raids which were never designed with that in mind. Good luck balancing flexible Animus, it wasn’t even balanced with 10m/25m.
It’s like asking for 10m/25m in TBC because Wrath has it. Or heroic raiding.
What mechanics? They have never touched any raid systems in Classic except buffing some item levels in Ulduar during Wrath Classic.
Doesn’t Season of Discovery have some level of scaling where you can bring between 20-40 people for the original raids?
No - the fights have a single difficulty. They are tuned to be clearable by 20 people, but you can bring more than that. There are separate leaderboards on warcraft logs for 20 man groups (considered Mythic raiding) and 20+ man groups. You can trivialize most SoD content by just bringing more people.
Well that’s too bad. It would still be a major improvement that they should consider spending development time on. Just because the raids currently don’t scale this way, doesn’t mean they couldn’t. I know it would take effort and be difficult which is why it probably won’t happen.
you’re in luck because they already did spend time developing it, in WoD, which we will get that feature when WoD Classic comes out
They do have data from REMIX as well. The scaling was not competitive, and it was built on the retail client but possibly something they could iterate off of.
The problem isn’t scaling boss hp in term of players but scaling mechanics, moreover the last difficulty has never been flex on official servers. When they added flex to normal/heroic they also added mythic to be static 20.
Just in term of remix I don’t think raids previous to Soo had flex, you just could bring less people as you got more op. One of the big change was being able to queue LFR while leveling up.
