It’s time for Flex Raiding Implementation Blizzard. I can’t think of a reason not to add it at this point in terms of a concept. I understand there could be significant barriers to making the code work, but hear me out.
Embrace your audience. We are playing in Dad Guild Central. We are mostly older gamers with families and IRL events happen. There is no way around this. The endless recruitment is exhausting and I’m close to my breaking point. I would expect 10-15 of my long time friends in guild to unsub if we fold. Not a threat, just the likely reality.
Nobody cares about the “World First”. It’s already been done, and this time around, it’s just a speed clear/don’t lose connection competition. Easy solution, if you want to be in the 2nd World First, must have a group of 25.
I don’t care if the scaling is not great, we will work our way through the content, if it’s a little easier with a certain number or tougher, no big deal. We just want to game with our friends.
In my IRL profession, I work in Quality Improvement, in the “biz” we call this “low hanging fruit”. Make it happen, spend some money to get the coding right, the recruitment scene and attendance is only going to get more toxic through the summer and even worse after the first LK kill.
Wrath doesn’t really need it. Flex was added because merging the lockouts killed the easier raid difficulty in Cata. That’s not the case as 10 mans currently do fulfill that role.
was before my time. i started wow because i saw my college roomates do 40man raids. by the time i was level cap, 40mans were gone. i did +2000man fleets in EVE though.
