Flaunting Your Gold Is Not Cool

No other way to put it.

I have a hard time making gold and so do others. People who flaunt their gold and their rare items and whatever really come off as sickening. It’s very uncool and I wish people would stop doing it just to make others feel bad.

These same people corner the AH and take our gold. Then they brag about it. Ugh.

I don’t think anyone is really that impressed by in-game wealth so flaunting it doesn’t seem as distasteful

You only have a difficult time because you want to have a difficult time. There are countless videos out there that can teach you how to make gold. Or you could just save your gold for whatever you want to buy. That’s what I do.

So get off the forums and go make your fortune!

There was an ad on our server to come to Goldshire for endless gold making ventures. I am not sure what was going on but I am still trying to find how they are making gold. Must be pest extermination there were more Vulpera around than I care to count…

I wasn’t even talking about the AH. I’m not even one of those big time sellers. I just post stuff I gather and get from missions once a day, mostly augment runes.
Literally every activity in SL outside of PvP throws gold at you.

  • Daily Calling 1500-2000g+, Weekly Anima 1600g, Weekly ZM 2200g+, Korthia Weekly 2000g+. Any time you hit a Paragon cache 3500g.
  • World quests can reward roughly 300g, or 800g+ if elite.
  • Missions give around 300g or crafting materials or augment runes you can use to save on costs if you do end game content that needs runes and stuff, or just sell them.
  • Pet charms can be used to buy and sell pets, market is a bit slow on those though.

You have to actively avoid playing to not make gold.

I work hard for my gold. I spend a lot of hours farming mats and crafting. I play the AH fairly, and nobody is forced to buy a single thing from me. I’m not going to feel bad about enjoying what that buys for me.

The game gives us multiple avenues to earn gold. If you don’t have it you aren’t really putting in the effort.
