Flame Caps for 50g+

Assumption of the century hahahaha

Or, they could make a no CD transmute that uses 20 ragveil to make 1-3 flame caps. This would make farming and picking the rageveil (which causes more chance of flamecap to spawn) to be more worth it.

I dont really think it needs a chance, but if it were to be changed, that is how i would do it.

Not very welcoming to new players, is it?

Aside from the gold-buying problem, that maths out to about $400,000 a year pre-tax.

That might be true for you individually, but on either side of the argument it’s not really representative of a typical experience.

i mean i could math it out accurately, but the point being the time spent farming gold vs the time spent farming dollars IRL for the same amount of gold is a huge difference. IF blizz is not banning people for buying gold, and not banning bots, why would i waste my time farming gold? Time = money

They should probably ban you permanently.

it sounds to me like the high cost of flame caps is the nerf. problem solved, next.

Find me a top 100 parse for melee that flame caps lol

Then find me more than 10 of each class.

I bet you people that flame cap lose more overall dps dying than they would have if they just used a healthstone instead.

Dear Blizz, think of the poor new players who can’t get into raid without spending 1k gold per week just to parse high enough for a raid spot. Sad!

I’m more on the side of brain power utilization and melee. It takes like 1 screwed up GCD to invalidate all Flame Cap gains for weeks. Unless a fight specifically calls for healthstone usage with your strat, you shouldn’t really need to use them.

If thats what you think, go ahead. i know i wont change your mind. Im comfortable with myself knowing youre talking out of your rear end.

If you or anyone that played TBC didn’t stock up on flame caps yet still wanted to play that class or change to a class that uses them you either didn’t know or didn’t bother to farm them at the time. There was so much information out there about flame caps being used for Fire Mage etc. it was even used in TBC I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t have known.

A transmute makes no sense, where in the history of WoW do we get a transmute for a herb? That also wouldn’t really fix it either, all it’d do is shift the high prices to Ragveil.

Ragveil will spike hard, going from like 20s per to 5g per or something to that effect making stacks of them equal to flame caps. I’m sure it’d eventually go down but it’d take a long time for it to go down.

Well if a player didn’t play TBC then my statement wouldn’t apply to them…

They can farm them, you can farm them, go out and farm them, there’s still plenty of time before Ulduar comes out (at least a month) so get in the Serpentshrine dungeons and get picking.

What a preface

If you want to be competitive you farm them or pay the price. Pretty simple concept.

If you arent going for literal r1 world parse. Just dont use them. You can get a 99 fine without that kind of sweat

I mean, TBC was the time to buy/farm them so…

A time. Not the time. And someone being so ridiculous as to stock up on them during one expansion for the next may be normal for you, but a lot of us look at that and laugh out loud.

TBC was the best time to buy/farm flame caps, people knew that they’d be used in WotLK, people knew WotLK was coming, why wouldn’t you stock up on them while they’re cheap?

You can laugh all you want but the people who were laughing are now crying over them being too expensive.
