Hello Blizzard Devs,
It’s true that flame caps are a “sweaty bonus” that isn’t needed to beat anything in the game.
However, since they are farmable in your dungeons (Slave Pens, Underbog), this insane value will undoubtedly attract bot farmers.
Could you please address this topic by boosting open world spawn rates, or adjusting the item so that it is not applicable for lvl 80’s?
We know this was not the intended use for a TBC item and will undoubtedly lead to gold buying/etc to procure these scarce materials.
Blizz: “we are nerfing fire warrior because the gameplay is unintuitive and wotlk raiding should not include outdated enchants which discourage new players”
Not required. Not even a huge boost. Being sweaty comes at a price. Seems like 50g a pop is yours. Everything you are saying is you know that it’s beyond sweaty so weigh the pros and cons and make your choice. No need for changes. If anything they’ll simply make them unusable
Blizzard said that the fiery weapon interaction was a bug, they don’t think the FoA Felstriker/Sunking is a bug.
Flame Caps are no different than using an old potion
This is not how it should be handled.
Just make it so that they’re a rare drop from Ragveil.
Anyone that actually wanted to raid with a class that uses Flame Caps would’ve already bought them while they were cheap in TBC. No one’s going to buy gold specificly for them, at least people that haven’t bought gold.
If you need them, you’re not on a fresh server and you didn’t buy them in TBC then this is simply a you issue.
Though Flame Caps are still a dps increase, without the Deep Wounds application I may just choose to make some easy cash with the ones I have rotting in my bank.
I seriously consider them both non essential fluff that you’ll have to pay a premium for for minor gains. So I’ll say what I say to rogues who pay 100g for some tea as I say to anyone crying about flame caps
