This game is so much more boring without WPvP, it almost reminds me of WoD with the garrisons,It’s all anti social behavior and I don’t like it.There must be other likeminded people about this right?I’m very close to just transfering to grobb and hopefully it suffices with what I’m looking for.Don’t get me wrong I do Arenas, Battlegrounds, and sometimes raid, but when I’m not doing any of those and just idoling in shatt wondering what to do, that would be my fix for my time spent.
Play of grobb or play classic era if you want world pvp.
The rest of us dont care, why we play on 100% servers.
If you wanted world PVP you shouldn’t followed the dogpile to a 99% realm.

Community created the problem.
Why is it Blizzard’s problem to fix?
Y’all rushed to fill a server with a single faction, Blizz just stood back and went “Well, if that’s what you want…”
When I transfered to Faerlina in late P1 the server was balanced then slowly in P2 people started transfering to Benediction for whatever reason that was.I had no intention of thinking Faerlina would be a linear mega server.
I put a like on your post but you should at least roll an alt on Grobb and see what you think about it. I find Grobb to be a really good server, as someone who also cares about having the other faction around and wpvp and everything that comes with that.
So yes, I also had to adapt to the player base shifting to only a few mostly huge one-sided servers, while still wanting what I want out of the game. It sucks that most of the servers have gone this way but at least there’s an option outside of rolling on an EU server. For those of us who care.
Then you didnt spend enough time looking at retail servers and wondering why they are the way they are.
WPVP is a meme starting with TBC, and no RDF meant we needed to combine all the tiny servers just to find dungeons to get attunements / rep grinds completed.
Everyone saw this coming. Literally everyone.
The lesson I learned from playing on pvp servers in retail is that on a long enough timeline, all pvp servers will end up dominated by one faction. A server can handle 60/40, but when it starts getting more than that (and it will as people get fed up with being corpse camped) then it’s like rats escaping a sinking ship. The population imbalance accelerates dramatically until it’s just one faction.
But why do you play on PVP servers?
Blizzard needs to step in and do something about the imbalanced and dead servers.
but flying also really ruined world PvP, that’s why people enjoy isle of quel’danas so much
To feel better about themselves.
It’s Blizzard’s game, that’s why. Community creates cheats, exploits, and exposes imbalance issues and then Blizzard fixes them. That’s how these things work. Otherwise people quit and blizzard doesn’t make as much money.
Blizzard has a vested interest in making sure as many paying customers have access to a satisfying gameplay experience as they can manage.
This lol. This mindset that players should suffer the consequences of blizzards overall negligence is so pathetic. It’s reminiscent of Americans attitude that everything is a personal problem and it’s not up to the government to fix issues they have full control over.
I did warn them that this would happen when vanilla was in the planning stages…
Realm pops would have needed a very active hand to keep the two factions close to one another… even if it meant limiting the ability to create characters on a realm in various methods.
… fi…x? What is this thing you spake? Blizz doesn’t understand…
Would you be ok if the government forced you to move somewhere you didnt want to go? The thought that this is a blizzard created problem is humorous. They must have paid all those players to move away from their server and to gather onto one faction. If you played horde for 15 years and hate the alliance but Blizzard faction changed all your characters on a random tuesday to Alliance, would you be in favor of that? I mean atleast Blizzard would be attempting to fix the problems we created right?
Give me a break. No one is being forced to move anywhere and if I was on a dying server and I was forcibly merged with another in order to preserve balance and a healthy player count, I would be rejoicing. It’s more about blizzard implementing stealth changes like unlimited layering and no server locks and neglecting to deal with the externalities.
Doesn’t matter. The community still did it.
It’s not for Blizzard to say “Hey, we know you wanted to all play on this server, but we need to move you elsewhere.”
The best they can do is offer your server a transfer. If people don’t take it, they aren’t going to force people.
Forcing people out would be bad customer service as well.
player-made problem. speak to the players about it.
Players don’t want or care about world pvp. Blizzard will be unable to ‘fix’ their servers.
Nobody takes pvp in this game seriously, especially during TBC where everything is extremely unbalanced.
You’re pretty much a laughing stock of the community when you say you want things like world pvp.
