Boy what a response that adds so much depth to what is being discussed.
I have 26k HP. Iâm not in basic quest gear. And yes, the AOE almost instantly kills you.
You can keep arguing but youâve not provided me with any solution to beat this boss with my 26k HP pool and 2x 10k HP healing pots. If I donât get any mitigation or HP boosts from the anima powers he is impossible.
I agree. They swung the nerf bat waaay too far in the other (wrong) direction. For a casual like me, it just means Iâm going to gain soul ash at a slower pace by doing layer 3/4 (maybe layer 5 on my tank if things arenât TOO hard now). I have nothing to gain except a small amount of soul ash by killing myself figuratively to try to beat higher layers. Iâll do the layers I can comfortably do in a reasonable amount of time and be done with it.
You have multiple 158 pieces
You are hitting one of those dreaded gear checks issues.
Pillar humping intensifies.
Now we know youâre just spewing nonsense because you feel like dying on your hill for whatever reason.
What the hell are you talking about, you are literally going in with sub par gear, refusing to LoS casts.
You either need to git gud, or outgear it. That is just a fact, and right now you have several slots that you can easily upgrade via CQ / honor gear to make your life much easier.
If you have content that canât be accomplished without gear/rewards/buffs that are gated by said content, you kill fun.
I need the golden sword to kill the dragon, yet the sword is behind the dragon, and you have given me NO WAY of getting to the sword, yet you expect me to kill the dragon?
You see the logic loop?
No, you dont.
I havenât seen a single pillar to hump or any LoS breaking object in any of the boss rooms.
Torghast is horrible. It is not enjoyable at all. If I wanted randomly generated dungeons I would play Diablo. Just spent an hour and a half clearing 5 floors which was challenging as a solo player, only to get to the last boss and find out it is impossible to kill. Literally IMPOSSIBLE to kill solo. Kill me on the first floor so I donât waste my time maybe? Or just remove this garbage from the game altogether. Give me soul ash from Mythic+ or something.
Torghast is garbage. No one I play with likes it. âUhg⌠I have to do TorghastâŚâ Is what I see in guild chat. NEVER âAwesome another level of Torghast to clear this week, yay!â . I dare you to take a poll of who like Torghast and who doesnât.
Me neither, hence why I think this guy is clearly trolling.
7k DPS on Floor 5 with 2 people? Did you get 0 dps powers?

Several of the boss arenas literally have cages and massive spikes that you can use to LoS. Use them.
why arent you running torghast, ion
Fun story, but not what is actually happening in this case. To abuse your metaphor a little;
- You donât need the sword, others have killed that dragon without it.
- There are a lot of other easier dragons that can be killed to improve your current sword before you take on the hard one.
- This might be less an issue with the sword and more of an issue with the wielder.
Or to put it another way
We donât have this situation, so everything that followed it can be ignored.
I think the problem is this, those harder bosses are for later, much later! we have 2 or 3 years to go here, I could be wrong, but at this point I think it makes reasonable sense
Maybe if there was more to it than just soul ash (and apparently a mount at floor 8?).
It feels terrible if I do all the floors. Yaay, I get to see a currency number go up. If I mess up and die - it also feels terrible because I wasted time forâŚa currency and now I have to do it all over again to get the fricken currency.
I really cannot see myself repeating Torghast past a week or two from now when I have enough soul ash to upgrade my legendary to a reasonable level and then can just leave it there. Itâs not particularly enjoyable - just mildly interesting depending on the powers I get (or frustrating if RNG screws me over)
Doesnât Torghast scale in difficulty based on your ilvl? I think thatâs why they donât have recommended ilvls on the layer descriptions.
1.) I think Blizzard needs to impliment ilvl restrictions - or at very least recommendations - on each of the levels.
2.) Blizzard needs to fix the difficulty scale. It is bad design to have the entire run be relatively chill and easy, only to have the last guy basically be impossible. If the last guy is pretty much impossible for you, Torghast should be kicking you out on floor 1 and 2.
adding mob health is the new adding content for blizzard to get the gamn out the door
