Arathi Basin has become unplayable. There is always an Alliance premade that win the game in under 5 minutes by capping every base and camping the Horde graveyard. Alterac Valley’s queue times are too long as Horde to play. That leaves Warsong Gulch as the only BG to farm honor as Horde. The Horde either need to boycott AB or Blizzard needs to ban premades for PVP (or at least limit group sizes). Maybe even just group premades with premades and PUGs with PUGs. They’ve already done small changes (such as remove portals for Warsong Gulch), so this really doesn’t violate the #nochanges policy. It’s ridiculous that people get so sick of losing that they create premades to have a significant advantage. It’s borderline cheating.
I have some startling news for you. Whether alliance or horde, if you pug there is nearly 100% chance you are going to face a premade. This is not a horde issue. Also, AV sucks for alliance too. Turns out losing 99% of the time isn’t fun regardless of queue times.
You go ahead and boycott whatever you want, but this isn’t a faction issue.
Welcome to classic bro. It isnt going to change.
Also, this is inaccurate. People don’t form premades because they are “sick of losing” and even if they did it wouldn’t be cheating as you suggest. People form premades because of the vanilla honor system. All that matters is how much honor you can earn per hour, so that is what people focus on. If you aren’t in a premade you aren’t going to get a high pvp rank.
Just like the 100s of changes already that have been implemented despite the #nochanges people?
People have been crying over premades for months.
Wrong. There are several people that have gotten to high ranks (even rank 14) solo, no premades. I’m not personally attempting a high rank though.
Also, heaven forbid that people should organize and form groups for group content in an MMO! How can we let this stand? What about the children? Oh, God, why won’t you think about the children?
Bots maybe.
This isn’t a horde specific problem alliance have the exact same problem with premades.
But yes something should be done about premades as it’s stupid to match them against pugs since premades get to avoid 2 RNG checks pugs have to make.
The PvP stacking crowd is largely comprised of idiots who will claim that rolling PuGs is the only way to secure caps, all the while not realizing that the inability to roll PuGs will dramatically lower bracket caps.
The amount time spent having to PvP won’t change much, but removing premades rolling PuGs from PvP will make the games better. The only real PvP my premade ever did was against other premades.
Simple solution: Premades get grouped with premades and PUGs get grouped with PUGs. If you are in a pug, that is still an organized group. You still have to organize and cooperate to beat the enemy team.
I agree that bgs should be fixed for a level of fun to be introduced into the grind.
But not to make it easier for pugs to get honor.
It would be much better if those who wanted to face off in the premade vs premade challenge, if they received a load more honor per kill and bonus. As it is more challenging to win in this situation.
Pugs would face pugs at normal honor rates. Then there would be no cheap honor farm, and hardcore players could farm faster by playing a more difficult taste to the game.
But as it stands right now, premade vs pug is rarely any fun for either side. I’ve been in both situations and neither are really fun. The only time it is any fun, when u play a poorly made premade as a pug and win. Very rare. The rest of the time, it’s a beat down with no challenge to farm honor.

But that’s the issue the people who are against separating the brackets don’t actaully want to pvp. They want those easy wins against pugs because they’re lazy and or bad at pvp.
100% this. When you can steamroll the other team in under 5 minutes, that proves they have a significant disadvantage. I’d love to see how they would perform against other premade teams.
In some way I agree with this. Premades vs premades require more demand and team efficiency to win. Therefore it would make pugging an easier effort to farm, giving premades who want to actually pvp a good match.
What it would do in retro spec, allow pugs to now farm on top of those who would normally only win inside a formed team. So premades would be getting much less honor for a harder work effort.
Premades would definitely need compensation for the difficulty.
BGs aren’t meant to be “fair”. Sub-60 BGs are plagued with Twinks and there is nothing stopping well geared players going into BGs to farm scrubs (like me). You accept that fact OR you form a premade. Don’t expect everyone else to run slower so you can win.
There is a massive difference between twinking and forming a group of players to basically insta-destroy a PUG to farm honor.

Pug vs pug games aren’t any shorter than premade vs premade games so no.
Some people actually want to have a fun game to play. They aren’t worried about winning or losing or farming honor. You know, a challenge. Those are fun too. Mindlessly getting loot can be entertaining it’s own way, I understand.
