It definitely helps a lot, I don’t think it’s that uncommon though…
I think that for about half of the keys (even pugs) I’ve done that are not “easy” or low level keys based on the group’s average IO score, people do use voice coms (discord usually), it’s quite common I’d say.
Since my transfer several months ago none of my M+ is showing and R.IO also doesn’t show my original score as they didn’t merge my main character after the transfer, R.IO shows the new runs but nothing shows in the Armory even since the transfer, but…
I’ve never really done a high key (above about 12) with a PuG group as I generally can’t get into those as a S-Priest and don’t try as Holy or Disc. The 9-11ish keys I generally do don’t come with PuGs who want to get into voice chat of any kind.
When I did them with guildmates (from my previous guilds) we would always use voice chat regardless of the key level and they were significantly easier. Someday I’ll find a guild that does fun things like that again but not yet, not yet.
Yeah it starts becoming more common at just a bit higher than that I think. I did quite a few keys eariler in S2 and it was pretty common at the +12 and above range, I haven’t been pushing lately so I’d imagine the bar is a bit higher now, so probably more like at the +15 and up range where it becomes common.
As for your RIO score, that’s weird, I’ve transfered and renamed some of my alts and it updated for me after a couple of days I think, make sure you link it with your account and click on the “Resync Blizzard Account” button in your account settings.
I’ve done that numerous times. It doesn’t update and it’s been months. It’s an issue with the Armory.
The Armory doesn’t show any runs for any dungeons for Season 2 and RIO only shows the new ones after the transfer. Blizz says they can’t fix it and RIO says they won’t because it will just mess up again when they check the Armory.
I don’t get it, but it is what it is. I’m hoping it fixes for season 3.
