I don’t want to be that guy but you said this so I’m going to use you as an example. You achieved Elite in Dragonflight Season 2, you hit that 168 days in to the season. That is 24 weeks in.
You hit duelist 92 days in to the season, or 13 weeks in to the season.
You hit Rival 2 72 days in to the season, or just over 10 weeks.
You hit Rival 1 48 days in to the season, or just under 7 weeks.
We are currently in week 3 of the season, day 18. You have attained rival 1.
You have actually attained rating FASTER this season than you did in S2 of DF. Unless I’m wrong, which for sure correct me please.

Looking further, this is the second fastest speed at which you hit Rival 1 in any given season for the last 5. You attained Rival 1 10 days in to S4. That is the only season within the last 5 that you have been faster at it.
that actually makes perfect sense. I know for sure they are capping SS mmr so people can play blitz. Blitz is fun to an extent. but SS and arena I can play that all day on different toons. Your point is very much valid.
Are you sure? Why is it that the people complaining the loudest about this are rank 1 players like venruki/cdew/supatease/magnusz/bicmex/zenlyn etc who all get 2.4k first week of the season in 3s? They do not care about rewards, barely use them aside from maybe glad mounts, yet they are the loudest about this issue.
Getting a bit ridiculous to see the framing of this as “nah its only people who are just bad and want the stuff for free” when its some of the best players in the game complaining about this (outside of these forums). They are the ones who start this discussion basically every time. Yes there are people using the cap as an excuse, but that does not mean it is not a legitimate issue. Again, solo shuffle should be mirroring 3s or at least be close behind it. It is the lowest bracket out of all of them currently, there is a reason for that and it is not participation.
The problem is not about who is matching against who imo, again I am not a rank 1 player at all but I’ve basically only gone against multi r1 players. I expected that and am fine with it since this is the first time I’ve been able to queue at the very start of a season. I enjoy learning from vsing them. What I don’t like is how progress is slower in shuffle than any other pvp bracket, people should not be stuck at 2.1k right now with literally nobody above 2400 in eu or na.
Looks like shuffle mmr is now getting inflated, guess people were just not queueing.
make it alot like league, with divisions
Iron : Aspirant
Bronze :Combatant
silver : Challenger
Gold :Rival
platinum : Rival 2
Diamond : Duelist
Masters : Elite/glad
Challenger: top % of masters players (r1)
Add a 5 game loss shield when making a new division
No more cr numbers like now instead it can be 300cr to move divisions and 3 promotional games, so after a promotion you will be rival 0cr etc
add rewards for being in the top %s of ur spec w the top being a glad mount recolor or title
Ie forged gladiator, xxx the forged paladin, priest etc.
(So you may miss the r1 cuttoff but be the 3rd ret on the ladder, so you get a title to show this to show this)
(Could add in a stipulation of being 2400 with 50 games, in order to avoid someome playing blood to 1800 and getting the mount)
And add in differnt colors of the vicious mount for that seaon, much like league and the victorious skins that correlate to your rank, which shouldn’t be that difficult.
This gives players better goals, constant rewards, and helps new players climb and learn with loss mitigation in new divisions.
Its both casual and hc pvper friendly
