Fix. Gathering. Nodes

Edit: Preferred Solution- Adding a visible timer to nodes. This can be in a literal number or fading/flashing on both the mini map and the node itself.

How is this still an issue? When I go around gathering I will constantly have nodes disappear on me in the middle of gathering it. Whether its because of shard phasing or some stupid underlying gathering cap I dont care. If I see a node It should be gatherable unless I SEE someone come up and take it before I do.

Pretty sure that once a node is tapped, it starts a countdown before it disappears. They also disappear once enough people tap it.

yeah the disappearing nodes are very annoying, especially for rare stuff. And funnily enough it still counts the “mine” for the flying vigor recharge even when you don’t get the loot for some reason.

Remove the node the instant its tapped then.

I think that would be worse honestly, a few nodes disappearing right before a mine them is a minor annoyance, having to fight the server for nodes would be a huge headache

for real.

it was infuriating last night when i paid extra for the 3 star true sight potion.
then like 1/3 of the nodes despawned as i tried to collect them.

I would rather have the resources worth more than have this constant loss of time chasing phantom nodes.

Once one person has gathered from that node a timer starts, when the timer is finished the node despawns. It’s annoying when the timer ends mid-gather, but there’s really nothing to “fix”.

That is exactly how it was for years, the current system was implemented to reduce competition and frustration when multiple people are farming nodes.

Every “Minor Annoyance” stacks on top of each other into an unbearable experience. The less the better. Dont defend poor design.

It’s not a bug, it’s working as intended. Each node has a finite lifespan and sometimes we get unlucky. I much prefer this to when only the first player there got the ore/herbs. This dynamic system is far better.

Exactly. I spend a couple hours a day gathering and it’s not that big of a deal. Everything gets blown out of proportion around here.

How would you fix it?

Add charges to the node. 5 charges so that groups of herbs can still roam around gathering together. 1 per person and it disappears at the end. You wouldnt need to be in a group to get one of the 5 charges. Now it disappears when it is out of charges, up to 5 people can get their cut, and the market is not so competitive.

There is nothing to fix. It de-spawns 15 seconds or whatever the timer is after a person mines it the first time.

Also deftness is a thing.
