Possibly.
It is possible for hunters and warlocks to solo Princess, and to sell the loot to players for extra gold.
Selling princess runs isn’t an exploit, but if they were layer hopping to speed up the process then yes that’s exploit.

Can you blame them? this exploiting debacle has done nothing good for the game, nor those within it.
I’m dubious when I see a high level character Did you exploit? I think to myself.
No wonder my giant eggs couldnt sell.
Just my two cents here. I’m a rational person, I could care less about someone being a higher level than me. I work 40+ hours a week too. I was 48 and re-rolled already to play with friends on a lower-pop server.
I just want to see equal punishments for everyone who Blizzard deemed abused exploits, including streamers. Regardless of what one GM said, if Esfand, Asmon, Staysafe, Tips, etc abused what Blizzard deems an exploit they should all be punished equally.
If entire guilds are banned, so be it. If loot is taken, so be it. If gold is taken, so be it. Perma bans? Nope, that’s too much unless there’s evidence of someone abusing something deliberately & repeatedly. Even if I got suspended for raid grouping to 45 on my first toon, I would accept it.
But my point is this: Any experienced player doing this on any instance worth a damn for gold/loot, knows that this is not the way dungeon lockouts are supposed to work. I personally was skeptical about the raid exp, but not 100%. Even if I got suspended for it? I would not throw a fit as long as the punishment I recieved was similar to everyone elses’ who did.
Again, just my two cents. I’m happy to wait and see what happens.
Ok so heres an example, what if the person was using a reset of the whole dungeon, then running back to Princess thus using 1 of their 5 lockouts in an hour.
I see one of three things happening and none will please everyone.
1- A suspension between 3 days to 6 months. Gear and gold could be stripped too.
2- Gear and gold removed, no suspension.
3- A warning and nothing more. Exploiters keep everything.
This is sad because myself and most other levels 60s grinded hard to hit max and have been grinding hard to get our bis exploit free.
Majority of players had no clue about this exploit until this morning.
Now everyone is going to look at 60s and think they cheated to get all their stuff, vast majority of us didn’t.
Like I said earlier, my guild was in top 10 world rag kills and we just learnt about it the exploit this morning.
Whoever found out about this bug have been keeping it to themself.
I am going off of precedent that Blizzard has set. (See: ICC world first accidental exploit.) Stripped of loot, suspended, etc.
I am really just advocating for similar punishments across the board including streamers and the like. Regardless of accidental or not.
I just think perma bans are a bit much, you don’t know who was doing this stuff on accident blindly following their guild on raid night or whatever. More than 30 days? Sure. Perma… Just a bit too much IMO.
you should ban those who did it for raids that total BS to let them continue to play
If the punishment is not severe, even if someone only did it a few times (not on accident) then I’m done. 1-3 month ban + removal of all gold and items obtained. I’m even open to perma banning people who exploited it to an extreme level.
you sound pretty worried Spaghettied. dont want to lose all your achievements on your account? cause thats what it sounds like to me. you were doing it and are totally ok with a temp ban cause you get your stuff back, but if you lose your account oh no all your achievements and micros are now gone.
You keep saying everyone was doing it and that is just not true. It would be more accurate to say that some people were doing it.
Only raids? You are too kind. They all knew it was a bug to farm certain bosses using layering so ban them all, no matter the dungeon.
Are you talking about getting everyone to log out and have someone reset instance to port you back to the front?
I don’t think so, kind of grey area I guess, you still have to re clear the whole dungeon and use one of your resets, the only advantage is saving time running out.
Yeah it was exactly that.
I literally got to cath as far as spamming dungeons in a raid group goes and I might have 10k achievements max on my live account. I don’t even play live anymore. The hotfix went out the same day I went into ZF. What are you even talking about?
If I got perma’d I’d just make a new account to play classic. No big deal. Long as the punishment is the same across the board, whatever.
It’s not my company.
Edit: Again, I would like to emphasize I have already rerolled and my current “main” is level 30 and I’ve been solo questing the entire time. You’re pointing at the wrong person lol.
you guys better remove their items and gold the got from this matter of fact roll back their characters
Blizzard banned for this back 15 years ago. If they don’t do it now they better shut the servers down for not bring back the classic experience.
Just for posterity, can you post on your level 60 avatar?
This was no secret, nor the layer hoping mob grinding.
The fact that they done something about this exploit and not any other layer hoping is rather disheartening.
