That is most certainly NOT acceptable gameplay because it circumvents a raid lockout. A player doesn’t get to kill a raid boss over and over and over until it’s bedtime. They get one per week.
Two synonyms for “circumvent” are “deceive” and “outwit”, i.e. exploit. Do not make excuses for them.

One can hope they will… Even if its just forcing them to buy new accounts and start over id be happy with it
Don’t ban them.
Empty their vaults, coin purses & drop them to level 1. That’s about the best punishment you can dole out to a Vanilla player. Doubly so for the streamers.

Ban is way worse for a streamer. Letting them just level up again means they get to cry on camera for more money. Banning them means they have to find new content.
Layering was a great solution for launch. Now it’s nothing more than a hinderence. Please perma ban the cheaters and remove layering ASAP. <3

You’re right, banning them means they need to find new content. Whereas resetting them sends a message not only to them but also their fan base. “You ****ed up. Do it again. Better this time. And let this be a warning to all your viewers too.”
Now, instead of an enemy you have an ADVOCATE for fair play. And if they puts the hell off, ok. At least you gave them a chance.
Straight up bans don’t actially accomplish anything good for the game. Resets do.
It will effect their live accounts too… so it will hurt the cheaters ALOT. Even if it only bans that account and they have to start all over again on a new account, it will still show the world “We dont allow this!” and something is done about it
This was poorly worded. Tons of people think this is talking about instance resetting. This is regarding layer swapping to farm individual bosses within dungeons, not resetting your dungeon while logged out to go back to the start. Consequently, tons of the comments look like " duuur sTreaMeR pRiVilEge". None of the major streamers have layered swapped to farm bosses inside dungeons. Anyone that thinks that is ignorant of the facts.

This exploit destroys the very core and spirit of Classic by allowing players to circumvent the time investment the game was designed around in order to build your character.
The only possible solution is to permanently ban everyone who took place in this exploit. A strong message needs to be sent in this case because the people taking part in it did so knowingly and deliberately.
Please Blizzard, be firm and resolute in this.

Yeah having it happen one time is an accident. Once you realize you can do it, going back and re-doing the bug is a ToS violation. And technically, the GM said they were fine to clear that raid, they didnt say its fine to clear every raid the same way
Is there a way to track if anyone at all gets banned for this? If there is no ban there is no game.
You might as well just sell BIS gear in shop and level 60 boosts.
You might not know this, but people getting suspended has been a huge benefit to them in the past. They typically profit from it a lot. People tune in to see the drama and reactions.
I 100% guarantee that Esfand knew exactly what he was doing, why would you need to reform the raid to get the FR buff you dont. the guy is a poser and a lier, he only did the GM ticket to play dumb. Ban the living crap out of everyone who abused this hard. Streamers are not special and do not deserve special treatment because a regular player wouldn’t receive any.
