Resetting and running again is perfectly fine, always has been. They have the 5 instance per hour thing in place to keep that from breaking the economy.
No, that is fine. You were able to spawn a boss without re-clearing with the layer abuse.
Killing the same boss over and over again every 5-10 minutes VS. killing the same boss every 2-3 hours. Which one seems faster to you?
People seem to have a hard time grasping played time vs real world time. The fact it can be done without exploits doesn’t take away from the exploits making it way too easy. There will be other layering exploits we hear about as time goes on, that people are currently out there abusing and discovering. Until it’s off completely, it will be exploited.
A level 52 really has no place in this discussion. I’m talking about people who have been 60 for 2 weeks now and already have multiple T1 and other gear from obviously abusing some type of exploit. When you can reset a boss on demand, that is different than resetting the instance as the game intends.
Too much stupidity on these forums as usual.

Nothing to see here. Blizzard promised to take actions. I believe them as much as I believe the exploiting streamers.

I’m pretty sure there was a beta release and a lot of players got up to at least 50 in the beta. I got a friend that’s been playing for about 4 days on his rogue and he’s almost lvl 40 on it. Not to mention he started out on a hunter and got lvl 40 on it then switched to a rogue.
It’s very possible that these players are veterans of Vanilla and know what they’re doing. So saying it’s impossible to clear MC and Ony in 1 week from official lauch doesn’t pass the sniff test.

I get it that exploits need to be gotten rid of. But this particular exploit wouldnt have been an issue if you have just gotten rid of layering in classic to begin with.
Agreed, too many stupid people giving input on an obvious exploit that should cause people to lose their items / gold / characters
So, that means you’re going to ban for abusing the Xp gain exploit for spell cleave AND Jokerd for using the layering to grind xp repeatedly, right?..RIGHT?
Cause that description you gave is kinda cut and dry, ESPECIALLY for what apes did…and probably still do to farm gear.

Remove the layers already. Everyone should be spread out by now, and waiting until most people are in there 40-50’s is only squeezing them into even fewer zones.

So does that mean these top streamers like tim and asmon are getting banned for using ZF/BRD exploits/repeated instance encounters? Or do they get away with that too lolol

That sounds about right.
Usual garbage.Nothing happened to them, but now big blizz is gonna step in and punish this current round of abusers, even though they should have stepped in and re-leveled the first level 60 abusers to level 1.
That’s a stream I would love to see. Level 60 … pop level 1.

Blizzard had no idea that it was an exploit at the time. and neither did Esfands raid. you can watch the vod and Esfands entire raid is waiting around for over an hour discussing the situation and what to do
you sound like some whack conspiracy theorist mate. you are looking way to deeply in to this.
Most likely scenario. Esfands guild cleared up to ragnaros and couldn’t kill him. They then went back the next day (one day before the reset) and to their surprise all the raid bosses had respawned. Their raid waited around and discussed the situation for for over an hour, A common topic during their discussions was maybe the raid reset day was bugged and it reset a day early due to a bug. A Blizzard employee finally contacted them over an hour later saying they weren’t sure what was going on but they were okay to clear the raid.

Leaving dungeon and resetting has nothing to do with the “layering” exploit they were using. The killed Baron, layered to another by joining another group in the waiting, killed Baron again over and over just by switching layers. There was no start over from a reset with full dungeon respawns to clear through and make their way to Baron like normal after a reset of instance. This is acceptable game play. But the way they were doing it, just by changing layers so all they had to do was appear by Baron and fight him, is unacceptable- exploited and not allowed. Understand?
