Ok, I just watched parts of streams from Asmongold and Esfand.
Esfand was in Asmongold’s stream when Asmon discovered the exploit, and all the time Esfand is saying this doesn’t work in raids, blah blah blah.
Then, at a certain point, someone points out it was exactly what happened in Esfand’s raid. The dude becomes SUPER evasive and insists it can’t happen in raids.
Fine.
Then, on Esfand’s own stream hours later, Esfand says they actually talked to a GM during the raid and the GM cleared them to do another clear because the game “bugged out” on them.
To me, it looks like Esfand was trying to look like an innocent man on Asmon’s stream, while he KNEW the exploit was possible in raids and had actually done it.
If I am making a mistake in the timing of the streams or what exactly was said, someone please correct me. Otherwise, the dude is a douchebag exploiter that needs a healthy dose of the banhammer.
I’m actually taking a break from the game until I see what the"punitive measures" are. This game is a lot of time and effort and it is being made trivial by people who knowingly cheat. A lot of streamers already got away with layer exploitation and dungeon splicing to amass resources in the first few weeks of the game. Enough is enough. This isn’t fun Blizzard. Thank you for listening to the community’s concerns but please do something that will deter this behavior!

I hope y’all apologized to that one guy yesterday who posted about this and the post he referenced that was deleted explaining this exploit and told by CS it wasn’t true.
OK, and the guy they talked to isn’t even with Blizzard anymore. That’s the former CM “Ysithens”. Not that the advice he gave them to not loot was bad or wrong, but it wasn’t in any way an OK to clear the raid. At all. If they went ahead and not only cleared but looted too, well… that was monumentally stupid.
after watching that, not a single person said “I’m not doing this I’m out”. They had a very long discussion KNOWING they could be banned for it yet shifted the attitude that it was blizzard’s fault and not their own. I’m sorry but they are broadcasting to thousands of people and spreading this mentality.
Why did it take so long? I am unhappy with how you have managed the game. This is not the Classic experience people wanted. Layering in the starting zones was as far as it should’ve gone. I hope that you are doing more to fix this than just patch it. In the very least remove everything that the exploiters have gained out of this.
Hearing the first part, before they have the blizzard (or ex-blizzard) dude come in, they have TWO players that are honest. They know it’s wrong and people will get banned, and one asks if they should call it.
All the others, including Esfand, wanted to kill the bosses.
Was looked forward to the nostalgia of geared players riding by on epics mounts again knowing the amount of effort that went into it. Now it’s just disheartening. Restore what little faith is left and come down hard on these people.
