There is zero chance people didn’t know it was an exploit. and a statement should be made that exploiting will not be tolerated.

I really wish Activision had never gotten involved with this game because at the end of the day all they care about is money and banned accounts = money lost.

Granted, I didn’t watch the entire replay of Esfand’s stream. But during the part that I did watch, he was emphatic that the raid would not be taking any loot from the respawned bosses. (His raid was there to do Ragnaros and seeing all the bosses respawned was a surprise). Did he change his mind? Did they wind up distributing loot?
Yeah I think esfand is a good person at heart but it’s funny to see him tiptoe with GM permission to exploit when he found out this was well known, but didn’t have a problem with a double clear at the time.
Even Tipsout thinks it was unfair, unintended or not. Now I could care less about both of these individuals.
But I think giving Esfand a week ban or even a month, to show the community you aren’t f-ing around would go miles.
And obviously the people who have seriously abused this on purpose and ruined entire server economies for literally the rest of their lifetimes need to be, ideally, perma banned.
And lose their vanilla sub accounts if they actually were. I’m a vanilla sub account, and I would never risk my account for something like that. Those that did, should lose them forever

By that I mean he doesn’t seem like a disengenuous person.
Even still he needs to be banned. Even the rep from rekilling the mobs alone is an innate advantage.
You’re right, it probably is an act. So that’s why I still say ban. Being a good person doesn’t save you here.
If they distributed loot obviously they need at least a month ban and items deleted to let them reflect on their sins.
I can guarantee that if this debacle isn’t handled properly I will unsub 100%.
My current thought on the state of this game is that it’s already ruined forever. This is ignoring the extreme amount of bugs that still persist to this day and refuse to be addressed.
Go check my 3 threads in the bug reporting forums. That’s not even 10% of the bugs that exist, and they alone make me want to quit.
That’s before this bug was even revealed today

Well if they had any sense they would ban them because more people are going to quit. The vast majority of people do not want to play a game where people cheated their way to the top. If they don’t drop than banhammer on everyone they’ll lose even more accounts.

Absolutely. I will quit 100% if this isn’t handled with an iron fist. There’s basically no coming back from this as it is. Gold has already diffused though the servers. Economies are already molested

I just got banned from his twitch chat for suggesting anyone who looted items from an exploit should have their toon deleted and banned.

id ban him for 30 days , remove his exp , remove all items , and make him a dwarf palf paladin. Then send him a message sayin ret pallys will never be dps.

Thank you for your diligence. I understand it would be difficult to revert what has already entered the economy, but I say nail exploited items and exploiters themselves as hard as you can. Their actions put a damper on everything.

This warrants nothing less than permanent bans and this applies to streamers as well. There should be no special treatment because streamers are involved.
If you get caught cheating in any other game you would be banned, why should this be different?
