“we’ve recently become aware”
You mean “we tried to ignore your warnings”, Blizz?

Have people even played this game? I can count several instances of bans over the years. And high notoriety meant nothing when exploits happened.
Be quick and decisive. Cheaters have no place in the gaming community.
Please, in terms of punishment, have a look at other layering exploites and abuses too, even if fixed earlier.
I think Blizz should post a list of the exploiters names, guild and server. This way the ones thinking it affects them, their game or play style, can ignore them and not buy their stuff on AH. Don’'t group with them, don’t chat with them in general or trade.
Here’s hoping BFA’s next content patch will keep em busy for more than a week…
Not everyone. I didn’t, and all those people who waited in line didn’t.
I agree. There isn’t any difference if someone is sitting on a mining node, hopping layers to mine it over and over, and someone who is sitting in an instance hopping layers to farm it over and over.
Same for me and I detest any kind of cheating behavior, especially if it gives an unfair and/or unearned advantage.
You guy’s gotta stop picking what you feel is wrong, how about all the people doing the SAME thing for XP and you did nothing!
People complained about the exp too. But if you start resetting raids with a 1 week Cool down i guess even they couldnt ignore it.
I don’t envy the Blizzard employees who will be combing through the logs to figure out who exploited…
and then searching the logs to figure out what happened to all of the illegitimately obtained gold/items/mats…
and then determining if other players who later received gold/items/mats from the exploiters are accomplices or innocent bystanders…
This is going to take a while to sort out and the consequences could be far-reaching.
This needs either a ban or a gear and gold strip. Anything else is pointless because the gains will still exist in the game.
Permanent bans. Nothing less will change the culture of cheating that is starting to corrode the classic experience.
Blizzard, Classic is already “out”. Everyone knows it. Everyone plays it. You don’t need the talking heads to promote it further. Dispose of the ones that harm your brand.
This is why the economy is so broken on certain realms. Many farmers and guilds exploiting it to bypass AH which would normally list a lot of the items. Roll them all back I say. Don’t feel the least bit of sympathy for them, and a rollback is being nice, it should be a ban.
I’m confused. Running out and reseting the dungeon is something we’ve been doing since classic. There is even a reset dungeon icon by your portrait. Am I missing something here? In Vanilla we would often clear SM, run out, hit reset dungeon, run back in and start over. This has always worked, except for raids/heroics of course.
Maybe you confuse it with this:
oof get wats comin to them
So now we will see if the integrity of the game is more important than money to blizz. Oh wait…they chose money on the last exploit. Why will this one be any different?
Guess all those posts telling you for months exactly how this will be abused were “recent”.
You guys were so focused on this not being like Vanilla’s launch that you actually made it worse.
I’d rather have week long maintenance than this mess you’ve made blizz.
I still can’t believe that after all the feedback you received that…nevermind. Enough words have been wasted on blizz.
Why give feedback when it’s routinely ignored?
Burn them at the stake!!
BAN HAMMER I NEED TO SEE A BAN HAMMER OR I WILL STOP PLAYING. seriously
Players were resetting the dungeon while they stayed at a boss. Basically, they could skip the entire dungeon and just keep killing a boss over and over and over.
Supposedly, they could do this in raids too.
Blizzard doesn’t ban the deserving when it’s involving top guilds and streamers and most hardcore.
Nothing will happen… Watch
