How can Enh Sham get the shaft on weapons in TBC, Blizzard PLEASE change multiple weapons to Unique Equip, not MH only PLEASE THIS IS BRUTAL! Like Fool’s Bane, or The Bladefist, Or Demonblood Eviscerator, or The Decapitator. This is ridiculous Shaman get the shaft. #Somechanges
This is how it was in Tbc tho.
yeah but its dumb, boons didnt exist either in vanilla classic.
#somechanges.
You can’t pick and choose using that argument. Your position is immediately compromised the minute you realize there is about 1000 other things they didn’t revert to replicate the original TBC timeline of patches.
They made about a handful of things authentic to the original patch time line of TBC. Why only a select few? Unless you answer that question, what you just said is entirely meaningless.
get any kara wep MH and a hwl wep and you’re good.
Drakefist hammer was one hand non-unique in vanilla tbc, but they decided to change that.
If you’re going to remove a really good weapon option because you think it’s too good, then you should provide more options.
Agreed. The lack of OH options is pretty terrible. I haven’t tried flametongue with a faster weapon so no idea how effective it would be, but yea, heavy hitting offhanders are rare.
It gets better in later phases.
This is how TBC was, and I’m perfectly content to wait.
Oooor you can roll Elemental and not worry about weapon speed!
Seriously though, Elemental is pretty damn good. Fantastic DPS and group/raid utility.
ive been ele before i havent been enh so i am going enh
No it wasn’t.
It was MH in early tbc, all those weapons were turned into just one handed much later on.
They did the change to throttle back damage. I mean it wasn’t even a change, they just kept it how it was when Kara was out.
I mean the real answer isn’t no changes or some changes, but blizzard does whatever they want.
Which has always been the answer. People think if they can make a logical argument, blizzard has no choice but to listen… not how it works.
Weapons are simultaneously no changes (we have the mainhand tags that were in the early BC patches) and changes (arena weapons have rating requirements, and possible offhands are locked behind later phases).
So it’s not no changes or some changes. It’s whatever blizz wants.
Flame Tongue with a fast offhand is perfectly fine. Its not ideal, its not the highest DPS, but its really not bad and you actually get more mana back with Shamanistic Rage, like, a lot more.
Its also much easier on the Tank as your chances of instant burst are much lower. Not a huge deal in Raids, but in Dungeons Shamans tend to pull off the tanks rather easily because of their burst.
I plan on trying Ele again later, but geez did it feel awful at 62 for me. The biggest weakness of Classic WoW casters was just how insanely boring they were(Outside of Shadow Priest, but their upgrade options are boring so…), but for leveling, just simply too many mobs you have to fight face to face and we have no root or CC to hold mobs while we blast. You just kind of have to Chain Lightning into Lightning Bolt and then… melee anyways. The problem is I can also cast Chain Lightning and Lightning bolt as Enhance, then melee far better and have far more mana regen to continue on.
Bladefist would have to be MH only, though. Because it was specifically built for Kargath’s right hand.
give druids epic flight form, and will consider this option
Enhancement shamans are fine, stop your crying. If you really want to feel what it’s like to be picked on, try a ret Paladin. Stop trying to change the game to suit your every desire!
Blizzard has been inconsistant with what they allow/disallow with phases, there isn’t much we can do about it since it was part of the beginning of TBC and they decided to put it this inconvenience in phase 1, at least it will change later on.
Not until way late during the xpac. By then S1 epics were available for purchase with honor.
But Ret Paladins have loads of weapon options. They’re also parsing higher than enhance on almost every boss fight in Kara and Gruuls. The ones they aren’t. It’s minuscule.
