When channeling Celestial Conduit sometimes it will just … stop … even when nothing is pressed after or the same time. It might be connected to chi wave, not sure.
It’s very annoying when I plan to use it for a certain damage event and it just fails. Sometimes it ticks once, and then stops,.
It’s been weeks and I’m pretty sure this bug was on the beta before the expansion went live.
Please look into this.
I’m having the same issue and I thought it was me! But I’m definitely not casting anything to interrupt it, and seeing lots of posts and it online! Fix this Blizzard!
Thought I was tripping when I saw it cancel. Glad I’m not the only one who’s experienced this.
Does this share the same root issue as SCK channel cancelling?
I only just tried Mistweaver for the first time today and I thought I was doing something wrong. Chi wave interrupting it might actually make sense.
It doesn’t happen every time but I have had at least one use tonight where I used it and it instantly stopped. So it’s effectively useless if that keeps happening.
Which is a shame cause the other hero talents really don’t really help for fistweaving. At least not to my untrained eye.
Noticed this a few times myself, its super annoying when it happens, hope they fix it soon
Ah, so I’m not alone, thought it was me messing up.
I may be imagining it but sometimes it might also happen to soothing mist.

Okay but the more important question is, why are ya’ll using chi wave???
People who have Chi Burst talented have also reported this issue from the looks of it.
To your question:
Chi Burst is mainly for resetting Jadefire Stomp at this point. If you don’t run JFS there isnt much reason to take chi Burst because you don’t need resets and the healing difference is pretty minimal. ( you free up some globals not having it, and in m+ healing from either isn’t going to move health bars in any significant way - it’s there to reset JFS when needed if talented basically )
Chi Wave is gcd-less free healing and one less keybind. The 6-12 globals I save not pressing Chi Burst on CD in raids means I possibly get 6-12 more vivifies during the fight - which would be more healing than chi burst can/will put out because of how invigorating mists/ren mists, gusts, and other class/talent interactions work.
Where as Chi Burst doesn’t really interact with anything other than JFS for resets. Sending Chi Burst on CD is kinda a waste if it doesnt line up with damage, if people are spread out at the time, and you dont run JFS. I could have used that global on maintenance stuff like ren mist, or on actual healing like vivify, or on RSK for extends, or to fish for Strength of The black ox procs, etc etc etc. Just doing rotational stuff ( rsk/viv), every 15 seconds, I am guarantee a chi wave proc.
Personally I kinda also hated how Chi Burst broke up the flow of healing just for tiny bits of healing that ended up being pretty insignificant. Id constantly forget it existed in Legion, BFA, and DF because it wasn’t ever that impactful healing wise. I got tired of asking them to buff chi bursts healing, or allow it to interact with the toolkit somehow ( outside of JFS )
Also up to very recently Chi Burst just straight up wasn’t healing for a lot of us. So we swapped to Chi Wave. Looks like lots of people just never bothered to swap back for a buncha reasons. ( you can see a bunch of mythic MW raiders are still running CW )
I will also add that it seems like in TWW they made it so Chi Wave can actually hit the same target more than once. In DF and before it was much more wonky and would stop if it didnt have fresh targets in range to jump to - but now it feels more reliable and actually finishes all of the jumps instead of just stopping. Cant confirm this because I never saw notes, but it just seems to work properly and complete all the jumps now.
Same issue. I even ensure I don’t use it within SEF since the clones coming back to me when it ends cancels it, but it STILL randomly cancels. I’m so tilted.
Also: sometimes my Spinning Crane Kick and Crackling Jade Lightning casts end suddenly, and I HEAVILY doubt it’s from Heart of the Jade Serpent effect.
Broken stupid game because I ENJOY playing WW. Of COURSE there’s issues.
Edit: Fists of Fury sometimes cancels itself, too.
Edit #2: Conduit often doesn’t call all of the celestials, namely Yu’lon is frequently missing.
Wait…what? Chi Burst resets Stomp? On WW? I have both but I don’t see it anywhere.

For Mistweaver each hit from Chi Burst on an ally or enemy has a chance to proc jfs resets iirc
