You’re the guy who said you use shiv rotationally as law. You should not be providing feedback in any way shape or form or under any conceivable capacity about this spec that you clearly have zero clue about.
There is no way around this, please stop copping out with empty replies. You have made is painfully clear you do not understand the spec on a critical level, and therefore you cannot provide critical feedback. You should not be allowed to post on the rogue forums in the form of critical feedback on how the spec functions in any way.
I am not insulting you. I am telling you that you have no place here to provide feedback on the way this spec or class functions. Not to say less skilled players cant provide feedback, but in general you have no idea how the current iteration works, so why should anyone listen to how you think future iterations should work?
Please reply to my overarching argument about you giving feedback on something you literally do not know about.
i just wanna say people who are some reason attacking the classcord for “echo chambering” most likely dont play rogue themselves and most likely banned from said classcord for multiple extreme reasons
By this I mean in general they read the forums for feedback, rather than class discords or other areas where tc people talk, therefore if types like you are representing us on here, then were doomed.
So long as Hillbilly Subtlety keeps this spec hostage, I will keep advocating for buffs elsewhere.
Oh please. Listening to you waffle about how ‘nuanced’ and ‘unique’ Outlaw is would make any player vomit. That’s why Outlaw is in the current state that it is. Why bother fixing anything when the calculators in the discord are seal-clapping about their down-syndrome version of Subtlety?
You don’t even read what’s being said. You simply create responses in your head and then mock them.
No, they don’t. They never have, or we would have a decent Sinister Strike build that could compete with Ambush, and Hillbilly Subtlety wouldn’t be the dominant spec.
Please link your real rogues armory, ill link mine again just in case.
If this is your real rogue with double fist weapon, signet brand, no enchants, no embellishments, not even max with any DF rep, 9/9 LFR progress (0 normal/hc), zero pvp activity or any dungeon activity, please, enlighten me as to why the critical feedback relating to spec functions i’ve seen you post shouldn’t be immediately ignored/deleted as spam.
I’m not wasting time running after BiS a month before a new expansion.
Because min/maxing isn’t everything. I bet you even scoff at using Kidney Shot and Gouge because you don’t see line go up. Damage has its place, but if your main goal of taking a spec is shaving all of the complexity and variety out for the sake of a meter than you’re just as much as a detriment than someone audacious enough who wants the spec to have a variety of builds.
Hillbilly Subtlety might be fine for a few players, but the lack of alternatives is slowly driving players away.
I would like Sinister Strike to be as good as–if not better–than Ambush. A reworked Mastery to invest into.
Give me Expose Armor, Sinister Strike giving two combo points baseline (remove the proc, fold the damage into Sinister Strike, and allow Triple Threat to generate two additional combo points), and fix Killing Spree so that I don’t risk dying after every use, and you can go make number go up as much as your bland heart can take.
Hey, this is progress. At least you’re making it even more obvious you’re unfit to provide feedback to be taken seriously. Especially anything you wrote after that paragraph. Have a good one dude.
Is this how you feel about the spec you’re spewing un-thought out nonsense spec function changes about? You have no place to provide the feedback ive seen you post.
You’ve made it painfully clear you are not credible. You don’t know what you’re talking about, and you should be laughed out of any real competitive discussion about this class. (ie, anyone click on this guys account)
Didnt even catch this one. And you even attempted to tell me I was insulting you?
Every class forum has their elitist narrow minded few who think the game should be balanced and designed for the 1% (for some reason).
“You don’t understand the class” is basically code for “you don’t agree with me and that makes me mad”.
Defending outlaw in its current design is so hilarious it’s insane. The class has steadily fallen in representation over the years that rogue is actually falling below MONK. I never thought that would have been possible.
Current outlaw is an abomination and it’s painfully obvious that only a small handful of players actually find it fun to play, otherwise more players would be playing it. It’s not about tuning. The stealth reliance is killing the spec and is a complete 180 not only from the roots of the spec, but also from how the spec has played for every expansion until DF.
I kind of enjoyed world content as a sub rogue. Between evasion, cloak, and vanish - you have a way of staying in the fight or leaving on your terms most engagements.
Some solo elites can be rough, but all were manageable for me in DF S1 (where I mainly played my rogue).
I absolutely loved deleting crap with ambush, damage proc trinkets, and the fang adornments on my daggers. Being able to effectively teleport around short force spawn areas means your farm time is very efficient if you build for it. I had a blast skinning and I wasn’t in one of the whack aoe farm groups (because of course that’s the most efficient).
Pvp is always fun on rogue, once you practice and get good you can offer a lot of control. Even if you are out gunned you can buy time on an objective until help arrives if you like to BG.
They’re fine in m+ (my preferred content). Atrophic poison will actually offering meaningful mitigation again now that health bars aren’t yo-yos. I’ve seen some very strong rogues when pushing keys for portals in s3.
The identity is neat. You get to play as dagger/poison/bleed assassin, pirate, or ninja. You’ve got a little variety at least.
I’ve played Rogue since WoW Vanilla Beta stages. I don’t enjoy other classes as much as rogues. If you are looking for a class everyone hates (even Blizzard), this class is for you. I play subtlety and do enjoy the spec. I love the control it offers, enabling me to take on multiple enemies simultaneously.
No other class offers as many hate whispers as Rogue. It brings me tremendous joy and reminds me of the beautiful experiences I have provided to other players.
In TWiW, other classes get new nifty tricks, cool graphics, and unique abilities. Rogues, on the other hand, is getting more damage - whoopee dooo. Unless I can 1-shot someone in the air like in Legion, it’s not enough damage to compensate for the new expansion’s bs for rogues. I recommend playing another class now; it’ll be less frustrating.
Eh, it’s not code for anything, its telling you that you don’t understand how the spec functions, so therefore you cannot provide proper feedback on how to correct it normally. It is impossible for someone who maxes out at lfr to providing reliable and well thought out feedback since they literally have not experienced the game at a level where any tuning or gameplay changes affect anything. It’s very simple.
Think of it this way, would you take a silver LoL player’s opinion on the gameplay of a champion seriously? They don’t know the niches of the champion or how its fully fleshed out playstyle looks, how can they present a fully formed opinion on the topic when they quite literally do not understand all aspects of the champion? Or the entire game for that matter. Someone who has never done hard content in wow does not know how to properly change something so that is functions normally in all aspects of the game.
Wow has an issue with this type of behavior and I don’t know why.
