FIrst time in classic

The mounts are 100% free. You acquire them through a pick up and turn in quest from trainers in major cities. Zero fee required.

Nah don’t listen to this (unless you’re a non pvp oriented player).

PvP servers are the way to go always imo.
Nothing like a little non consensual pvp to break up the level grind. It may be frustrating in the moment, but you’ll always have a few awesome encounters you’ll not forget.

You need to know A LOT.
This is an entirely different game, and you want to minimize the amount of shock this will create along the way if you want to enjoy the process.

Honestly, if you are only trying it because your friends say you should, I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere without them also helping you learn and level.

Otherwise if you didn’t get sucked in during the lead up or the initial hype wave and you don’t know anything about the product now, are you sure you want to play it?

Its not a very rewarding experience to pick up and put down, unfortunately.

How about y’all post 1 comment about how terrible AV is right now ? Literally 8 of my friends quit logging because of this. You are so quick to comment on general forums about playing vulpera but nothing on this broken AV. Nice job.

Oh, please. It’s a game, not a life-altering decision. Jumping in and playing it relatively blind is actually a pretty good place to start, IMO.

Its a good place to start if its the same place you want to end.
Otherwise, with a game like this where you may potentially be spending infinite hours player it, you will want to know what you are getting out of it before trying it.

At least I would.
Maybe some wouldn’t, but I can only advise from my position.

A new person certainly doesn’t need a group of friends guiding him around helping him learn. While Classic’s leveling is more unforgiving than retail’s by far, it’s still pretty straightforward, and easy for someone with any degree of competence with the game.

That’s not even remotely what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about, is this game worth playing for months to this person?
If not, why bother leveling at all?
Anyway, made my point as clear as I can. Not sure why you are trying to convince me I’m wrong, but that wont be happening.

Have a good morning!

Why get out of bed in the morning? You might step on a splinter and die from a tetanus infection.

Do i need to link you the hundreds of posts complaining about pvp happening on a pvp server? If half of those posters had rolled pve in the first place. We wouldn’t have seen so much crying and they may have enjoyed their journey a bit more.
The truth is it was their choice and when it turned out to be a bad choice for them? They lost their minds because they knew it.

Unless OP knows exactly what rolling on a pvp server means they should take the option that does not put them at the mercy of other players.
Let’s say they do roll pvp. Let’s say they get to 50ish. Now. They are a target for all of us bloodthirsty homicidal types.
How long do you think they will last being farmed before they can even get to level cap?
I do agree with your sentiment. If they know exactly what a pvp server is. On a pvp server you are always open to attack by the other faction in contested zones. It doesn’t matter how much they out level you. It doesn’t matter how much they outnumber you. They can camp you as long as you keep rezzing.
An entire raid can camp you. Entire raids can block you from accessing instanced pve content. Players can kill/camp you to the point of you not being able to quest. Players can kill quest givers. Players can stop you from accessing boats and zeps to travel. Players can camp FP’s. Players can take over towns and questing hubs.
Still sound fun OP? Yes. Yes it does. I’m not saying it’s the wrong decision for you. It may be the right one. You may fall in love with pvp like some of us have but you will also be at the mercy of other players.
If you can handle that? By all means roll a pvp server. However. If you know all that I’ve listed will just piss you off if it happens and ruins your game? Roll pve.

You’re kidding me, right? This post gets replied to immediately, but the plethora of issues that get dismissed or ignored outright whether real or imagined never get addressed.

Seriously, you folks need a bit of priority arrangement and show some customer support for the folks who have allowed the company to grow and prosper as well as take care of the new “whales” smfh.

Nothing will come easy, and that’s considered a good thing. There will be people who act like it is a race to 60 to do end-game content, but slowing down and just letting yourself enjoy the game can be a better experience.

If you’ve leveled to 20 in Retail, it can feel like that only takes a few hours. A level 20 in WOW Classic could take over 24 hours played, depending on what you do.

From level 2 on, every even level, you will have new skills or spells become available, but you will have to go to your class trainer to buy them, and arrange them on your action bars.

Once you reach level 10, and every level thereafter, you will get a talent point to spend. You don’t lose any abilities when you spend a point, but some skills aren’t available until you reach a certain talent.

The “stupid high mount cost” is not something you’d have to even think about leveling to 20. If you continue playing, there are ways to earn the gold. (Also, not having a mount doesn’t do any more than keep you at running speed. Loot can sell for more, quests pay more, so earning it after 40 isn’t as hard.)

If you pick a casting class, new ranks of spells don’t automatically update on your action bar. (Melee classes they do.)

Professions matter. Gathering professions are a great way to make extra coin. (I often pair skinning with either mining or herbalism, because skinning you can do just about any time, any place, as long as it is beasts you killed - or someone else left lying around. The other requires tracking and going to while you’re out in the world.

Level up & complain that there isn’t enough quests & you die too much. Go into dungeons and be bad because you forgot to train any skills past level 10 and still have rank 1 on your action bar. Stroll around level 50 still without a mount. Cry that level 60s are ganking you once you enter high level zones. Finally hit 60 best feeling ever. Go into endless dungeons for a month to get your pre bis raiding gear but have it stolen by a class that doesn’t really need it. You finally have the gear & are ready to raid
but wait did you do your attunements? Ok get those done finally ready! Hop into raids & use all the wrong skills get yelled at by raid leader
realize the game isn’t as easy as retail & quit.

thank you all for be helpful and accepting community I was unsure about try classic but now i’m exited to try classic soon

thank to everyone give me tips I need look over all this info

Not seeing that drop yet.
maybe 8.3 was delayed?
I mean it could not be that we simply like playing classic, i mean that makes no sense, right?

Maybe if you could read it said retail servers.

Perhaps consider getting glasses.

Is this a joke? This is probably the easiest part of classic. Some classes have 1 or 2 button rotations unless they are maintaining a debuff. If someone had the foresight to look into their Pre-raid bis, then they must have at least glanced at talents and rotations.

Me thinks you be needing the glasses mon.

Try reading again slowly, i know you will get it eventually.
