It’s truly sad that it takes a horrendous expansion and the outing of unequivocally worse than horrendous behavior by the company behind that expansion…just to get black pants I can transmog.

They already lost a huge part of their playerbase bungling the Netease partnership, so anything’s possible I guess.
TenCent actually debuted their own WoW-clone, so Blizzard might be in direr straits than they appear.
I just looked it up and yeah it might be liberally taking designs and styles from Blizz, but calling it a clone might be a bit of stretch since most everything now days could be called a clone. I did see demon hunter weapons on one character though.
STILL, if they can do a decent story and not Blizz all over the game, it might be better!
It does make me wonder if the whole blizz-netease drama was because (or partially) of this new mmo. I could see Actiblizz getting bent out of shape over it and letting their arrogance get in the way.
Also, I was reading some of the articles about it, and they’re all basically copypasta-ing a bloomberg article, and snarking about plagerism, copycating, not being original… as if Wow is wholely original and Blizz never “borrows” ideas from other games.

This might be the first thing for this whole expansion that genuinely bums me out. I’ve had my Night Elf rocking a “we have Wardens at home” transmog set for over ten years now, so seeing this revealed with the Trading Post initially got me so hyped… only to find out that I have to twiddle my thumbs for a whole year.
I would genuinely rather just pay $20 and be done with it, because this is essentially a “free gift” for paying $180. Sure, you’ll get it eventually by just playing the game… but if someone dares to get bored between patches and doesn’t feel like logging in to grind out that month’s progress bar, the setback is going to feel soul-crushing.

But Stormwind human aesthetics have always been basically the worst of any race in the game so I don’t blame them for that. I was kinda hoping we’d just get to pretend to be Lordaeronians instead or something
