First arcanist in 8.2 (spoilers)

People people please! Let us not count the eggs before they hatch. Give it time, for all we know she may survive and become some sort of … Void Nightborne thing, or just gets off a-okay because we save her. Anything is possible good or ill, just well … wait and see.

i think its better to assume the worst so you can be pleasantly surprised if it doesnt happen

pleasantly surprised

People always say this as if priming isn’t a thing. If you go looking for crap, you’re setting yourself up to find it.

Please make her killable. Would probably resub just to cut her down.

I don’t think she’ll actually be killed, that would be… dumb, and that’s coming from someone who dislikes the path she’s taken since Legion immensely.

That said, Nightborne are technically night elves, and we all know how much Blizzard likes to mess with night elves.

That’s not actually a healthy attitude for your mind and emotions. Doing it too much can cause actual health problems for you.

i already have health problems, whats a few more?

I figure it’ll be an Erunak Stonespeaker situation again. Killing off a racial leader in a dungeon after they randomly go lolcrazy halfway through a fight’s mechanics is absurd.

All antagonists, and you still kill Ragnaros and Archimond in other difficulties.

Don’t really care. Why should I? Thalyssra was a bad character who never really belonged on the Horde in the first place assuming she is actually killed. What has she ever done for the Horde?

Wow? an evil character falls to the old gods? How about when she tried to genocide the alliance after we just finished giving her aid.

Thalyssra’s character was killed the second Sylvanas burned down Teldrassil and killed many innocents. By continuing to associate herself with a tyrant she is effectively spineless and not who we thought she was. Her death would be meaningless now.

You act like Thally’s schizophrenic complicity wasn’t the work of those same writers.

This is so obviously set up for the Horde to save her and solidify her conviction that there’s something worth ignoring the warmongering, genocide, and brainwashing to stick with the Horde for.

No, ragnaros runs away on normal mode (the fight actually ends when he hits 10% hp). Which is why on heroic, Cenarius and co stop him from doing it.

Archimonde doesn’t get a perma death on lfr - heroic. He does on mythic though. (which is in conflict with the cinematic. However, at the moment, blizzard has Archimonde as perma dead since the mythic ending trumps the cinematic).

Doesn’t matter if they were antagonists or not. Blizzard has had a history where lore characters have only died on the hardest difficulty at the time.

You probably just have to beat her up as she’s temporarily charmed, and after the fight, she’ll be fine.

Hopefully we’ll beat the Old Gods out of her… or this will somehow give her a power up in the long run and she’ll regain her sanity like some other voidy elves that have been in the plot recently.

Another Horde leader bites the dust!

Nah I think Lor’themar has dialog with her after we beat Azshara, about ending the war with the Alliance and joining Thrall/Saurfang.

This seems oddly familiar. I could have sworn I’ve played this storyline before.
