Firelands Difficulty Reduction with Hour of Twilight Patch

If they would increase the drop rate of Sulfuras melee would at least have some incentive. It’s pretty dumb how there’s 100’s of casters running around with LEGENDARY weapons that are insanely broken in terms of DPS but this one mace hasn’t been seen even one time by so many different raid groups over this many weeks… it’s ridiculous.

Sounds like i can bring in alt melee and clean house on gear pickups. Cause no melee wants to farm it outside a 5m.

Thanks for the insight

The new LFR 2h sword is better then H sulfuras.

That’s kinda my point though, that’s a bit sad that FL loot becomes useless before it’s even dropped for people.

I know alot of people who never got Ashbringer. I would honestly just say chopp it up as part of the game nothing has 100% drop rate

Maybe it’s the staves that are giving me the jaded view, not getting Ashbringer isn’t quite as equal to compare because you didn’t have a ton of casters running around with legendary items.

It’s pretty tough not to notice the charts when the person has that staff compared to those that don’t. Ret is my OS so I’m not a master of it to begin with but if you take my 376 ret against a caster of the same Ilvl with the staff they’ll blow me out of the water every single time.

Some casters ares still wearing a darkmoon card trinket. So. Your trinkets cover the spread on the staff.

If it’s any consolation, at least Sulfuras has a big name to it. Meanwhile I’m over here still running 2 Nefarian axes…

This is also very true but most people will be chasing the caster trinkets off the LFR vendor if they don’t have Firelands trinkets.

What? No it isn’t.

Does not the sword have a trinket proc that does something like 2-3k dps?

If it procs, maybe, it has a 2% proc chance.

wowhead does say it has a 2% proc but thats still really good considering it just doesn’t proc off auto attacks. the skada damage someone posted on wowhead.

Skada: Skada: Blackedout’s Damage for Alizabal, 18:37:33 - 18:41:43:
Skada: Scourge Strike 1244560 (22.7%)
Skada: Tentacle of the Old Ones: Mind Flay 800533 (14.6%)
Skada: Dirtbasher: Attack 779591 (14.2%)

That was a 4min 10 second fight or 240 seconds.

800533/240 = 3202.13 dps that seems pretty good This is also based off wowhead Not sure if this is how it will work in classic tho
