Fireland drop rate

This is to address concerns with the short amount of time phase 3 will last. Aside from the legendary staff questline hopefully being accelerated can you please increase the amount of loot that is dropped in 10 and 25 man? Even if its an increase of 1 to 2 items more then it is now would be extremely helpful. It would make it a lot easier for the weaker less hardcore guilds to try to progress through as much heroic content as possible if they could gear up faster. If the timeline was longer like the ridiculous amount of time wrath phase 4 lasted i wouldnt even be here posting this. Dont make the nore popular raid in cata horrible for everyone please. Thanks

Its going to be tragic if they don’t do anything. 7 bosses / week is very little loot in 10M.

10M guilds won’t even finish heroic tier.

They need to add an omni token too.

People will feel like they arent getting loot and just quit.

Running both each week I definitely think 10 man needs a boost, but 25 man feels like it’s fine to me. 1 extra drop on 10 would be a good change, with a chance for that to either be an item or tier token where applicable.

Stop calling Firelands Phase 3 when its really Phase 2.

A new phase traditionally includes a new arena season and a new raid. Labeling ZA/ZG as a phase is unreasonable. It’s important not to blindly support Blizzard when they blatantly disrespect players at every opportunity.Firelands represents a real Phase 2, and Dragon Soul is considered the real Phase 3.

Whenever you do this math:

Them + Do Something = Anything

Know it is always wrong… Them=SOD focus only + Do Something(never going to happen) = Anything(really nothing unless its just a blank copy over of the files from the past)

I guess that’s part of the tradeoff of getting 10 people together versus 25, and a decision made collectively by everyone involved. If that’s preferable, then great, if not, then don’t do it.

It seems absolutely ridiculous that someone having the option would choose something easier for themselves because it’s easier to manage, then complain that it doesn’t reward as much as the more difficult choice, and claim it’s poor design.

I suppose if it works for a discount at the supermarket when you complain that packaging meat at different prices for 5 packs and singles is poor design, then more power to you. Complain away!

They should likely improve the 10m loot table slightly.

Just make it smart enough to not drop plate healer gear if no paladins are in the raid. No mail agi/caster/healer if no hunter or shaman is in the raid (obviously teir is not included in this proposed change).

Just make it so it wont drop gear for a class that isnt even present. 10 man raids could end up with no shaman, or no paladin, etc. Just this change would vastly improve 10 man loot rng.

So it wont drop more loot, but it wont drop something completely useless for your current group make up. This helps prevent “dead” gear drops.

Goodluck with that sounds like you should go play retail or raid 25 man content.

I’m not salty, I run heroic on both 10 & 25 every week and am stating an objective fact.

The only thing easier to manage on 10 man is the schedule and occasionally positioning. 25 man has far more flexibility in composition, better healer coverage, more raid cooldowns, and a call to swap an extra heal when needed is far less impactful on raid DPS than in 10m. Overall fight difficulty is a wash.

They already drop the same gear on both difficulties - the issue is with a smaller dice roll at the table on 10M is chances are much higher you never even see certain items. For example, in our 10 we have killed heroic Magmaw from week 1 and just this past week saw a conq glove token for the first time. In the 25 they have been getting vendored for weeks.

What they really should do for 10M is utilize the Crystallized Firestones and bump the loot to 3 items per boss and 2 tier items per appropriate boss.

How to utilize the Crystallized Firestones:

X item drops that no one needs/wants, be able to trade that item in+1-2 firestones for armor and 3-4 for weps, to get the item you want from that boss. Increase the drop rate for firestones as well since it’s so low already. Firelands is going to be short so might as well make people enjoy their time in there. Heck, you could even implement the firestone trade in for 25m as well.

Then run 25m, and you have no issues. It’s literally your choice to run 10m and you’re making it and complaining about it.

It’s quite reasonable design. And by running 10m you are showing that you like that design, or at least prefer the trade offs over 25m.

And then you’re posting an opinion on the forums that seems to contradict your actions.

Anyway, of course feel free to do what you want. I was just sharing my opinions.

Again, as I stated previously, I run both.

I do 10m because I do like the design better (it places more individual responsibility on players) and it fits the group of people that I have been doing 10m content with for the past 15 years.

I also run 1-3 25 mans on other characters - one the other guild group and occasionally GDKPs for gold.

If your opinion is that the current loot distribution is fine you’re entitled to that, and I would simply disagree. That isn’t me complaining or contradicting anything; just stating my stance on the matter.

If you’re already doing heroic, you wont be running normal at all… you know this right?

100% upgrading gear from heroic to normal in Firelands is not worth it.

Loot is 1 piece per 5 players that is fine. They just need to make it so unusable loot doesn’t drop outside of boe’s. The downside to that is it would lead to the debacle that was targeted runs where it’s 7 pallys running 3 othe pallys thru and selling the loot.

Running a team of ten paladins is not considered a smart strategy from the start.
