Idk maybe I expected more of people or maybe a better response than what you gave. Because what I said/asked wasnāt wrong. Maybe asked for my full opinion next time.
Itās not a backpedal lol. I simple gave my full opinion on it and my initial post was a reaction to the clip/screenshot.
Itās not though. The PvP community over reacts to LOT of things. Screenshots and clips being posted with almost no context other than āTHIS IS OPā isnāt helpful.
Players who read Twitter, reddit, forums etc that donāt understand interactions within the game honestly. I see some of these players still spitting out things they saw/heard that are no longer relevant in game more often than they should be.
Idk I think players should be able to play any spec and feel good about it, even if itās not the best without feeling like they need to be forced or constantly told they should be playing another one they may not enjoy.
I am you arenāt wrong here only because are large portion of the player base may not even know about the change yet or even know what affect it would have on playing a Fire Mage. People need to stop pretending like every person who plays this game thinks like a R1 player and reads about every change that happens before hand. Or even know the affect it may have.
every demo lock is done playing for the week LOL

Donāt think I wanna be a mage anymore. Debating taking my mages name on SP.
Not a fan of gimmick builds and fire just isnāt fun. Tried new standard fire post buff and it still feels pretty underwhelming.
Not to be a doomsayer but fire just feels garbage to play and I wouldnāt even wanna see it at SL levels ever again. Think maybe Iām just losing my passion for spec. It has its moments but these days you just feel like a meme on it. Its really a poorly designed spec when it comes down to it.
Maybe Iām just over mage but Iām really enjoying SP and SV both and they feel like they generate a lot more pressure and kill potential without being a 
I did like 3 lobbies on my mage and down -150 lmao. All 3 were double Hpal healers, double hunter pmuch

I like Setback, but I canāt stand every other Fire Mage player, I find them noisy whenever their spec is good

I am sorry you feel this way. I fell in love with the class back in 2006. To me, fire never felt any better than it did during Cataclysm. I guess, it was a fire-themed expansion.
But, Iāve been arcane since forever, and I also donāt like what they have done to the spec. I donāt want to be sonic the hedgehog, and I just want hard hitting spells (they had an opportunity for arcane surge to be that spell, but then added a bunch of other modifiers to it).
Arcanosphere which thematically sounds amazing, is so poorly executed that they pay off isnāt all that worth it, unless the player is ccād, and it does less damage than Ray of Frost, an instant cast spell, or even eternity surge.
Sorry for the long rant. I am just not sure that plans they have for arcane. Going from an arcane blasting turret, to a laser stream of arcane Missiles to zipping around the map like Bolt.

I think everyone goes thru a phase when their spec is good and they get rating deserved or undeserved. I had a few setbacks along the way.
Affy/SP splay is the most relaxed parse thing in the game. I think only Ret/war/fistweaver can compare.
Iāve always enjoyed the class and played it PVE/PVP. It just has a lot of up and down moments. Iām not overly fond of its āupā moments where it doesnāt feel like your winning through outplay but rather ovetuned stuff if that makes sense. Mage itself just feels like it lacks impact the way I like it.
To clarify on that alittle. Iāve been playing SV 3s/shuffle alongside my SP.
Nothing mage does feels as powerful and impactful as harpoon trapping and tossing out chakram/explosive and pulling the trigger on go on SV. It just FEELS impactful and in a way like your making things happen.
SP is very similiar with having insanity spikes/4 set catharsis ready and pulling trigger on stun/silence into fear.
Mage DB poly combust assuming you donāt get stopped on it doesnāt feel anywhere near the same level and impact as those 2 other specs. Its a pita these days to push in and get CC going on fire mage comfortably. Esp if your playing glass fire lol. Frost/Arc are a bit sturdier and not as worried obviously. Still doesnāt feel as dangerous as the aforementioned specs.
