So im following a guide or two for gearing/rotation. I understand i need like 17% hit. What i dont know is if i should be frostfire bolt spec until hit cap 
im at like 4.6 gs spamming fireball, still avg 3k dps. Any ideas?

Ignore any flak you get for asking a question, class discords always have these dudes in varying degrees. This game attracts guys with zero people skills, as you may have noticed above. There will be helpful people on the discord also.

This official forum has next to zero activity. Kind of like how car forums are dead now and everyone’s on facebook, for classic wow everyone’s on various discords, be it for class discussion, crossrealm arena partners, etc

17% hit is only for raid bosses and no spriest/boomkin in your group, which is only a slight possibility in 10-man raids. 14% is the cap for TTW/Fire with the hit debuff, 11% for Frostfire.
Also, there are some situations where you’re better off under hit cap. For example, you’re not going to wear a 187 blue with hit on it over a well itemized 232 epic without hit, even if it takes you under cap, because it would be an overall dps loss to wear that hit piece.
Won’t know without at least being able to see your gear at the very least.
