Title. Blizz, please give us fire mages the ability to change our fire color.
BLUE would be a great start. Followed by purple and maybe turn the flames red when we go into combust…

For $39.99 They should be able to do that
I would pay $39.99 for that considering my mage is my main. But I would PREFER to earn it in game.
That’s definitely something we talk about a lot. There are concerns about a lack of clarity depending on how much spell visuals change. Is it going to become unrecognizable to other people. We were talking about PvP earlier. Being able to understand that spell you’re seeing someone cast is an important part of the game. We definitely have a bit of a line to tow there. This isn’t too spoilery though, but there are definitely going to be some visuals that you’ll see in the Aberrus raid that will have you asking that question again. I’ll probably have the same answer.

What does that have to do with fire mage fire color variety like warlocks?
Stop making PvP gate cool things! Take them all to another game!
Ehem… Sorry. They could just disable visuals in PvP. But does it really matter in battlegrounds and the huuuuge mess of spells flying all over? In Arenas not sure, people can get used to it pretty fast considering its not like they will add a color palette for you to choose which color you want your spells. Knowing Blizzard it’d likely be one or two variations with maaaany patches in between since this is customization.
So people would get used to it by the time the next class receives a recolor. Also, don’t blizzard has the players identify and memorize lots of particles of spells in raids each new raid or dungeon? How come different spell colors is “omg, pvpers need to identify it!”?
I would think the simplest solution for this would be to bring back glyphs, and just disable glyphs in PVP environments. Really not that difficult.
I find the lack of customization pretty depressing, but I have a feeling its not existing may just be hiding behind PVP being the problem. More customization means more assets to load, which means longer load times, and even lag to some degree.
It would be nice for Mages to get Blue Fire, Yellow Sulfur Fire, Green Sulfur Fire(and yes 10.1 just revealed Green Sulfur Fire), Purple Void Fire and Reddish-Purple Shadowflame.

The Shadowflame is the one between the Orange Fire Elemental and the Purple Shadow Elemental.

Been asking for something like this for a long time…
A really long time….
There is no reason we can’t have glyphs that change our fire color.
No, it doesn’t matter in PvP at all which is why their excuse for this is ridiculous. Any PvPer is going to be using addons that tell them exactly which classes are present on the other team and most PvPers are gonna have WAs for any important spells or cds going off. It’s really nonsense for them to say anyone is actually watching spell visuals to know what is happening at this point in the game.
Saying they can’t do it because of PvP is just an excuse, and an effective one at that because a lot of the PvE playerbase hates PvP and has no problem believing the excuse.
I would prefer quest lines, similar to what the Warlocks had to do.
Purple? Makes no sense.
Blue does though, means the flames would be insanely hot, like 7k+ kelvin.
Blue flames would be SICK
There COULD be purple flames… but then again I would find it more with Warlocks and their Shadowflame.
Blue flames though. Imagine that coming from a badass and tech’d out Mechagnome.
Also, I’m book marking this thread. I’ve wanted this for a long time. Every post will have a response from me.
Purple flames can only be created by adding something to the flame, it’s nothing to really do with temperature…
You’d incinerate bones to dust within a second.
What a great day!
Blue Flame upgrade will cost you 100 Minerals and 100 Vespene Gas.
(Would be pretty cool, though. I can see the horde of “Azula” alts coming out of the woodwork.)
Blue flame is nice, I would have to change my whole outfit for it. But if not blue, it could be more “lava-like” to match the neltharion environment
I feel like the original frostbolt had the “blue fire” animation, which I kinda preferred over what they changed it to.
Either way I’d be down for blue fire…. Imagine the blue pyros
Blue would be awesome. I remember it being suggested a lot back when warlocks got their green fire.
