When in a group you roll for it, i have never seen anyone just open it in a group and if they do open it without rolling they are a !"ÂŁ$ and you should tell them.

The entitlement of some people in this thread is unbelievable, these are the same people who most likely believe that participation rewards are good thing.
Only feels good when youâre able to elbow everyone out of the way and get to the chest before they do. Less so, when you get to the chest and it is locked.

Finding an Arcane Crystal in Thorium Ore was the most rewarding in Classic, I welcome those to go to Winterspring and grab your Thorium Ore.
You have zero ownership over the chest. If a person comes in a swoops, yes they are a douche, but that chest was never yours to begin with.If you cant grasp this then i truly feel sorry for you.
Having a random spawn chest in the world that may have some low level crafting mats , some potions and maybe if you lucky an item be a bad thing is beyond me.

I think having mats or more meaningful amounts of gold would make the current ones feel a bit better. With how retail is set up i dont expect special gear but having something more valuable than a grey and war resources would be way better
Even Mechagon chests vs generic BFA chests feel vastly better to open.
Really? The chest I found at Murloc lake had white quality weapons I couldnât equip and that was it. They vended for like 40 silver. Completely useless. I really have to disagree with the OP. Classic random spawn chests were underwhelming

Losing all the time isnât much better either. I do agree and think their needs to be a balance somewhere, and personally speaking, those two games to dabble varying degrees of their ends or even overlap depending on the situation.
âŚWas Classic always meant to be competitive, instead of cooperation? a somebody vs somebody on the same faction, competing against the same mob, quests, etc, since Classic focuses heavily on leveling??

I thought the chests in WoD (and to a lesser extent, Legion) were a nice way to sort of bring back the feeling of finding these. Itâs a shame BFA rendered them completely redundant.
Make chests have a random potion, a few linen or ore, slap in some AP, is that good?
Of course I hope AP is gone for good but highly doubtful.
You do not own a node or a chest until it is actually yours , or no one would be able to open it or mine it except you , what is so hard to understand about this.

A druid tried to steal a chest from me so i ran from the mobs and they all jumped him. Seeing the coward flee then slowly working towards it was a treat.
