Does anyone find themselves running through multiple characters to cap looking for the ‘ideal’ main?
Yes. Well, no. I mean, yeah, I do, but I don’t have any slots left, so I can’t.
Yes and no.
I’ve definitely been trying to put more time into different classes since mid BfA, but realistically I still fall back on Shaman every time, eventually.
But I don’t really get excited about playing a class anymore either, even the Shaman. I struggle to decide on a main when I’m trying to deliberately choose one… because nothing in particular stands out. Every rotation is like the same level of complexity, and that level of complexity is LOW.
Nope…I know my main
If I raided I probably would have a main, but I dont, i like switching between my Hunter,Loc,Rogue and DD
The game is more fun without a main imo (and I’m sure many will disagree with that but I love my army)
I like switching around and playing all my alts but this will always be my main and has been since day one.
Been like that almost since I start back in Legion
Heck no. I don’t even bother to learn a new spec, much less a new class.
I am a one trick pony, and it isn’t a great trick.
Based and warrior pilled.
You don’t pick a main, the main picks you. Which class would you still play even if it was the weakest class in the game and completely unplayable? Whatever your answer is, that’s your main.
If I play a lot of WoW, yes, tough to pick a main. Shadowlands feels a little fuller with multiple characters ![]()
I think in recent expansions since Legion people find it hard to choose a main because the classes get changed constantly down to the basic rotatations… instead of added abilities or improvements to our favorite specs, we get complete reworks that are usually way worse. (loloutlaw and surv)
So why not FOTM it?
You mean… the Warrior main actually… picked… me? ![]()
I am One with the Warrior?
Do you hear this Hogrus? I’m special! Special, I tell ya!
*Hogrus oinks approval…

To find that perfect class I do normally have to level all the way to max to get a real feel for what all that spec of the class I wanted to play offers. If it turns out great I’ll usually stick with it for a while, and even try other specs. And if I wander onto another class I just delete the old thing.
I am wondering what will happen to our covenant abilities when shadowlands is done. Being night fae makes being a dk extra fun.
Not too fond of the others but I love DD’s
Wait
What are we talking about?

I’ve had lock as my main since Vanilla. I keep trying to get interested in other classes but always find myself going back to lock.
No. I found my main six years ago, and have stuck with it since, despite other classes’ attempts to derail that.
No.
My true “main” is a Druid and always has been since 2005. Why? Its the ONLY class that can Tank, Melee DPS, Ranged DPS and Heal. My Lock will always be my second main however.
For this reason, Druids are the best class for the indecisive
How? The game is so alt unfriendly
