it’s funny you said this because it’s exactly why i finally mained my druid for raiding after 17yrs.
Aye. It’s hard to pick one.
wiggles toes
I found happiness in a rogue.
Warrior has been my main class since late BC, about a month after I started playing.
I’ve been raiding on a mage since EP though. It was a nice change of pace at the time having primarily tanked for over 10 years.
I can comfortably main either and keep both classes geared. Focus more on keys with my warrior and raiding with the mage.
I have so many alts now that a main to me is usually the oldest of that class.
But out of all those the main main is my oldest overall and the one with the most reputation.
Yep. Whatever roll a guild needs a druid can fill it
When I’m hopping between toons it’s usually for a rather good reason, or a negative one.
For instance: At the moment, the current content isn’t really fun for me - so I’m bouncing between characters. In Legion the content was so fun; I enjoyed playing it on many of my characters, in many specs.
I have a different definition of that because I don’t mythic raid on my alts (well, most of them). The 915 changes helped a ton. They can get their 235 legendaries in a few hours, and I can even do the Torghast runs on my DH if I’m not feeling it on that character. They all have full 200 conduits and most slots filled with 200 ilvl gear from the auction house. Instant renown 40, usually renown 65ish if they’ve leveled through threads of fate.
I gave up on having a “main.” I play what I feel like playing, and what at that time is the most fun for me.
Sometimes it will be my pally, other times, lock, warrior, shaman, dk, druid, rogue… Just depends on my mood at the time.
The spells are for the most part kind of boring, so sticking with just one means I get bored fairly easily.
For example, I just quest so my Pally spends time just standing there waiting for cd’s to be over. Mostly I can rotate it to where something is up that is needed, but not always. And it’s basically a 4 button rotation. = Boring.
Kind of the same with my DK. Miree here is Frost, so 1, 2, 3, 4 rinse and repeat, occasionally something else thrown in. No brain activity required. Gets boring after an hour or two. And on occasion, I just stand there waiting for runes to regen.
Right now, I’m primarily enjoying my Destro Lock. At least there are 7 to 8 buttons… lol Always something I can use, so there is no “dead” time just standing there waiting for cd’s.
Rogue is difficult with others around, and not very good with mobs, so I rarely play her these days.
Druids are massively boring for me. Feral is a 3 button rotation, Bear basically 2 button, and Balance is 4, occasionally 5. No brain required. Can watch TV and play Druid.
Shaman is kind of fun, but squishy in some instances. I get tired healing constantly if a mob is on me. Don’t mind some, but in some instances it’s too much. My Lock can blast them and take zero damage, Shaman has to heal up to 4 times and may still die. (Again, this is not massively common but it happens.) I think the issue is cd’s. I need that spell to counter this mob and it’s on a cd… chain lightning um… Is effective with this mob over here, but not that one over there… ?
Thus… I just play what I feel like playing at the time. I have a Balance Druid, and two Hunters at 60. And the rest are just working on it. lol
