The devs do listen! This change brightens my day.
He is just one of those iconic characters in this game… Everyone remembers that first murder by him back when you got to close and he handed you your rear on a platter (back in the day)…

If you had asked a furries artist to redesign Hogger that is what they would have created, and that is what players were upset about. They took a character who was to be feared and made him into sexy Hogger.

Yep. They also darkened the whites of his eyes and made his irises an unnaturally vibrant green which goes a long way in countering the “Disney effect” that the new model’s much larger eyes lends it.

Oddly enough I think the original artwork looks the best. But Alpha version 2 looks better than Alpha version 1 to me. I think the fur is too light in the first alpha version and he looks a little too cute.

Bring back Happy Hogger.
Playing with your camera zoomed so far out it collides with the International Space Station is more of a veteran player thing I think, and it’s at least partially necessitated by how ridiculously huge mobs are outside of original EK/Kalimdor zones. When I’m leveling a new character I often find myself sticking with the default zoom because it works fine until you get up into higher levels and feels a lot more immersive.
Just go watch zootopia and lion king for that.
I’ll go watch Fox and the Hound and pretend it’s Vulpera and Worgen.

It was the eyes really. I like the new one better, but the lack of pupils is just one more thing I’d like. That being said, I don’t really care, the model still looks nice.
There was rage over the first one? I just thought it was funny that Hogger was cute now.
His fur is also closer to the original color, and his facial expression is now MUCH more menacing than it was on that first SL model.
Really liking that new version of Hogger. He looks much more menacing than he did when he was Ed from the Lion King. More teeth (and bigger!), the larger crest of back fur, eyes are more menacing (and green?), and better armor. This is a Hogger I’d be worried about if I ran into him in a dark alley. Good job Blizzard art team, I’m impressed 
Heroes of the Storm Hogger is BIS Hogger so since it looks more like that I’d say this is a W.
