Finally some good changes

Love em! why not make the game better? I don’t get the no change crowd? No changes keep the game as it was even if I hate it… like what? Worked out great for classic eh? oh wait as soon as people could move to tbc, no matter how good classic was… they all left! lol!
How is it fun to spend hours looking for a group? or hours making gold just to respec so you can play more than 1/3 of your class? IT IS NOT! its not fun… at all. You’re lying to yourself and its sad. You play video games on your spare time to do things you hate? When a very small change can greatly improve that without destroying the game?
LIKW WHAT? The no change crowd is just a bunch of losers that want to feel good about wasting time they don’t need too on an irrelevant 15 year old game because they have nothing good going for them.

Post would be more constructive if it mentioned specific changes that were made that you think are positive.

What changes? Could you be more specific? You talking about same BG Faction? That one I really liked.

Blizzard has shown that a very small change can destroy the game without greatly improving anything. The “no-change” crowd isn’t necessarily against changes, but against needless or harmful changes. Look at what happened to Retail over it’s existence and tell me you don’t see this yourself.

It looks as if they (Blizzard) are wary of making changes without at least some testing. This is good IMO

Keyword, I. Classic community liked/loved classic, sorry you didn’t.

Worked out great for classic. Topped sub numbers/MUAs on classic launch. Hundred thousand players easily enjoyed classic.

People like TBC too and beat classic.

Doesn’t take hours when you have friends or know how to type in /LFG.

Takes you hours to farm 50g? Thats not good. check out some gold farms on youtube. Can easily farm 150+ gph on any class.

Maybe we just have different opinions than retail players.

Changes have already destroyed the game. Look at the level boost and bots abusing that. Free epic ground mounts on multiple characters for 80 bucks! Nice.

Sounds to me like you’re just bad at the game and want pay to win features.

The #nochanges crowd are very supportive of the changes that they want. It’s just a meaningless meme at this point.

Fixed that for you.
Some people just don’t trust Blizzard to make decisions that are good for the game rather than their pockets. THOSE are the decisions that led to Retail.

What will or won’t destroy the game is subjective. No offense, but you guys generally err on the side of hysteria when any change is mentioned. For nearly 20 years, you’ve been wrong every time. I expect that trend to continue.

I think we can all figure what changes he/she’d be asking for …

No. The fact that Classic not only exists but is more popular than Retail shows they’ve made mistakes and can’t be totally trusted. Now with boosts and such, they’ve shown they STILL can’t be trusted. If they continue, Classic will also decline in popularity.

Classic exists because it makes them money, but retail must have more players. The classic experience just isn’t for everyone, even though I’m sure we’d agree that it’s a better version of the game. TBCC peaked already. How many new players do you know that are signing up?

This community is so damn horrible… Pre-Activision Blizzard is rolling in it’s desecrated grave.

I dunno man, respec isn’t THAT high that you have to farm for HOURS, literally 1 hour in strat live will make the gold to respec twice plus some consumes.

Vanilla and TBC were once “retail” so using retail in a negative way is wrong.
It’s a for profit company, this isn’t Goodwill or Unicef. They make for profit entertainment. It’s been good enough decisions to keep them afloat so far.

I don’t think people moved to TBC because it had changes, I think it was because people really just wanted TBC or Wrath in the first place and were taking Classic because it was better than retail.

Not op but I think all the changes brought up in that interview was good

Implying that current retail is as good as previous retail, there’s a reason why people have been begging for the earlier version of “retail” and not the hot garbage they have now, you can play dumb all you want but you know what people are talking about when the “retail” and have no actual legs to stand on, a company can make a good game that makes them profit, the two are not mutually exclusive.

Then don’t play it? If you hate the way the game was or the way the early games were then feel free to not play them, and stay on retail.

Btw it did work out good for Classic considering that Classic was a much bigger success than TBC was, and people were only forced to move on because they forced all current servers to move on to TBC. A lot of people would’ve still gladly played Classic if it didn’t mean abandoning their entire community.

Sure, but maximum profitability is the name of the game. If they happen to make a great game at the same time, they just got lucky lol.

Burning the good will of your customers for short term profit is a sign of incompetence not luck.
