Ive played this game for almost 18 years and the state of pvp gets worse and worse. And its only cause pvp devs get paid all this money but only wory about if someone misgenders them. never any pvp tuning at all when their will always be FOTM and whys that cause oh. RWF is more important it brings in more ppl but funny enough it dosent it will only bring wows veiwerships up for 2 weeks and when that last boss is killed bam wow is a dead game for the next 6 month. but oh people play pvp but we dont care about them since its mostly the same 10-20 ppl hitting R1 every season.

just had pvp tuning this week. we will probably be getting more when RWF is over which will likely be this reset. you really need to understand that pvp devs dont control the entire game, if PVE buffs or nerfs are going to be coming, they may prefer to apply those to pvp rather than doing pvp specific nerfs depending on what is getting nerfed, meaning they would wait for pve tuning to be ready (when rwf is over) to do any specific pvp tuning so nothing overlaps.
Thats the reason we got pvp tuning the first week, no pve tuning was going to happen for sure so they were able to do pvp changes. They dont want to overlap pve tuning with pvp tuning, and even if each can be specific, there is no point in doing it if they are nerfing similar things in pve, they can just apply that to pvp when it happens.
I get it, the damage done to the game because of RWF is indeed rage inducing.

It’s very understandable how you feel, and you make some good points. I myself have chosen to take a good break from the game and let my subscription stay expired for a while. I’ll be back, I just want to wait for things to settle so that I can play the three or four classes that I made on this account without strange Shenanigans and odd balance factors which are at play right now. I think it would be best for me to come back whenever people have at least 2/3 of their Conquest gear obtained. I look forward to seeing what happens by that time we all have Conquest gear maxed out. That would be interesting, but yeah the game right now does feel flat. I’m also out, just not permanently.

Take breaks, I did starting in legion. Surprisingly played all of BFA, and then basically play the first season of each expansion and then go do something else.
The only way this game will ever become anything close to what it used to be is if the devs finally actually do something about for the whole player base instead of just the people that mythic raid or catered streamers.
Because basically streamers have caused, I would say, the majority of problems in the current gaming age.

Good Post OP! And GL! I have been out of the game for months now, no classic no nothing. And it feels great, like kicking a nasty habit, you look back at folks still smelling like an ashtray and think sheesh thats smells nasty, good riddance lol. Decades of titles you never tried because you was sitting in queues afk in town bored lol.
Its fun glimpsing at the forums and seeing folks complaining about decrease in player participation by a company that just does not care. Blizzard has decided to join Dragon Age, Avowed and others lol. Just look at how many are playing monster hunter, Rivals and you will see whats going on lol. The Gaming Pop is huge, just not here… Recently landed a new GPU on launch day for msrp, be a shame to waste it on an OLD title lol.
When BOTs outnumber the players, when the Devs are more concerned about Ideology than making a good game, you know the game is going to be a real winner, just ask Bethesda and EA lol.
Now queue the video of Arena youtubers saying how GREAT the game is, best its ever been! lol

Dragon Age and Avowed did it wrong, they should have made a good game first, then once they made the money, and had the player pop, then they unleash the craziness lol. What can you expect, they made games catering to a tiny portion of the population who probably are not even gamers lol.
Diablo4 fooled tons to buy the game, though the whole player pop quit weeks later, they still made their money.
Board room meeting, Great Idea, lets make multi million dollar games for the most radical fringe of people on reddit, or on a college campus, what a blockbuster lol.
Next on wow PvP, who wins the BOT arena world championships lol.

imo it’s more of a roller coaster, generally sucking early expansion and then feeling pretty good in the last season of an expansion.
not as much as I’d like, but it’s definitely been better post SL
RWF is a convenient scapegoat, but tbh it has nothing to do with them doing pvp specific balancing.
The pve side of the game is far from dead, but unfortunately the pvp side is always going to pale in comparison.

Quitting or taking a break from all Blizzard games is a good thing! I deleted wow from my PC, discord too, downloaded steam and tried some new titles. It recharges you if you do decide to come back and all.
Blizzcon will be a make or break for the company… ALL other Blizzard titles are dead, even call of duty. If they just announce another crappy Dragonflight expansion for the “modern audience” then you know they are done.
Funny news, the company that owns Marvel Rivals laid off its US team, the CEO said western devs are “lazy and entitled”, whatever, but they make what gamers want. Monster H launched busted for PC, and they still cant stop players from buying it, sales off the charts lol.
