I have to admit, getting to 90 was just such a long and tedious experience. It was like the equivalent of leveling from 68-85.
Dread Wastes was the only part that made it go by just a bit faster, but I ran out of quests to do about half a bar away from 90, which was weird.
It wasn’t the competition that was irksome (it’s an MMO, I’m okay with it) or even the lag so much. But just the length of time it took was ridiculous. I can easily say that I am not going to level an alt until a later patch when they nerf the xp needed or what not.
Now that I’m 90 though, I can’t seem to progress on my farm and I’m not sure what to do on that. I’m scared to get into heroics because of all the horror stories recently, and my guild is raiding on Thursday. Plus, 85-90 burned me out.
i got burned out 1 bar to 90. Heroics are boring, bgs are demoralizing, open world stuff feels like a waste of my energy. Maybe after i get full pvp gear i can have fun
If you mean opening up more plots, that comes with raising your Tillers rep. Do their daily quests, and now at 90 you also get a little bit of rep with each crop you harvest
I wouldn’t be. The stories are massively overblown, or are lacking information. As long as you know what you’re doing I doubt many if any people are going to care at all
Farm takes time. Perhaps by tomorrow you can upgrade to 8 plots. I think today (been doing it since Monday) I get 12 plots - or tomorrow perhaps. I’m nearly revered with them. Probably already would have been if I didn’t forget to DMF buff Sunday.
Do the heroics, they’re stupidly easy. The complaints of being kicked are highly overblown.
I’m playing feral druid and I suck at it. I haven’t had any complaints to backlash at all. Heroics are fine. Just go in and have fun. Don’t let the possibility of A-holes dictate how you play the game and if you come across some, just ignore them and go on with your self.
I think I will try out heroics at least, and keep doing the farm dailies. Right now, I just started the Prince quest chain and the Vale. I was thinking about buying flying for an alt, but I just can’t do that right now, not after the days and days of trudging through the leveling process on my main.
The heroics aren’t noticeably more difficult than normal dungeons. I did dozens of them and never had any major issues (other than failing to get 3 slots long after I had gotten the others).
Wait…are you honestly comparing leveling 1-60 in Vanilla to 85-90 in MoP? Well, of course it’s going to take longer in Vanilla, it was 60 levels.
I wasn’t expecting to level to 90 in an hour, that’s just unrealistic hyperbole on your part. But I didn’t think it would take a week to get 5 levels, especially with every resource we have today.
You thought you had something with the “retail is right there” while trying to equate 5 levels to 60 levels.
It’s wasn’t that long when compared to Cataclysm. I got to 90 in a day and half mainly through questing with some dungeons spattered in here and there.
The additional plots get unlocked with each level of reputation, starting with honoured.
Heroics are fine I’ve yet to be kicked from any, just do your job and you’re unlikely to be kicked and if you’re burnt out take a break and come back when you want.
Eh, people tend to share the bad experiences a lot more than the good ones. Don’t let that get you down. Heroics, for the most part, are pretty fun and breeze by.
if you want a good heroic experience story - last night i loaded in with 4 ppl in the same guild and i said “oh…please dont kick me LOL” and they were super nice and they invited me to their guild to do runs - not everyone is horrible loot grabbers xD
