Place a heavy stone on your W key when you go to sleep so you can stay logged on all night. Beat the queue, beat the man!
Wouldn’t work. Game counts hardware events towards the afk time. Placing a stone on W will only count as W key down and no further action and as such loged out after 15 min.
You want to get one of those birds that “drink” water to press your key for you. Personilly space bar to jump vs W key as someone jumping every once in awhile in a corner near the AH stands out less than someone running into a wall.
Will also note that donig such to not logout to bypass the logout time is banable under gameplay disruption as you are disruption others access to the game via you abusing the logout function. Blizzard HAS banned people for this in the past speaking from experience.

Cause I once jammed a penny into my W key so I could walk away for like 30 minutes and I came back to a login screen.

Iit doesn’t work even with a key pressed over and over, the game will kick you out to the loading screen if there are no “real actions” performed in an hour. I saw this a few times while waiting in the over 1 hour AV queues of Classic and doing other things outside of the game, I’d move my character around enough but if I didn’t fight, trade, mail stuff etc it would boot me. They implemented this the first time people tried to do this to stay logged in because of queues.
The game also kicks you out exactly 60 mins if there are no specific actions. jumping doesn’t work. I usually buy something from a vendor for a few silver and sell it again.
Jumping most def dose work using the bird method. The game onyl requires significant rng to the time between actions so cant eg make a script to jump every X secs. Needs enough variation to keep loged in. Speaking as one of the ones that got banned durring shadowlands que in retail bypassing it doing exactly that. That change was made in WoD as a note. It is a bannable offense to bypass the que in any way by not logging out while afk, if blizzard catches you thou. I got 7 days at the time, for gameplay disruption.

I have. You get booted after 60 mins. I’ve seen it probably a dozen times at least too where I know it’s not something else. The Classic AV queues were long.
I have and am even as we speak on a different account than this one. It works so long as enough rng between actions. I haven’t logged out since prepatch started on one account.
Won’t say exactly how as like mentioned is banable and as such not able to speak of how to do on the fourms.
There’s a chance they’ve changed that within TBCC then because I’m 100% certain of how it was before. The other poster right below me said the same thing at the exact same time I posted too so it’s not just me.

Biggest thing you likly speaking about repative actions which as you mentioned do not work. You need “real actions” which requires a set amount of rng to not show the same actions as the same. It’s more difficult to do that the old press x every 15 min but same actions do still work but not adviseable to do.
Esp as if you try to do by scripting your not botting. So need to do with hardware and still bannable just for not logging out.

Ok, I get what you mean, that’s fair.
I didn’t see a queue on any server when I woke up at 8am (Pacific) or so. People should really just log out and let others play if they’re done.
