Judging by how this thread is going, it doesn’t seem most people assume that actually.
The reality is that players are a lot more efficient nowadays, which more than makes up for the shortened patch.
Regardless, Blizzard said they would give you plenty of time. They never said they would give you plenty of time so that you could reach level cap by casually playing an hour a day.
And they did just that. They gave you plenty of time. 2 weeks is a lot of time.
Ok because you seem to be super confused here let me spell it out for you, unless you already know this and you’re playing stupid so your argument doesn’t completely fall apart.
You headed blood elves were going in prepatch.
So you decided to wait until prepatch to level.
If you would have heard that blood elves weren’t in prepatch and you would have chosen a different race, you would have had plenty of time DURING classic to level it up.
That or you could have bought a boost if you so needed to.
But you didn’t, you heard blood elves were coming in prepatch, so you decided to wait.
Back in the day you couldn’t level at all in prepatch. So you are acting like a spoiled brat because of it.
obviously they just want tbc instantly they don’t care about the bugs or any flaws in the game or any issues in the game chimps that prob didn’t even play classic have no idea whats going on the game prob didn’t play the beta blizz can clearly do no wrong to these players
So people assumed they would get 4 weeks, and are upset their assumption wasn’t met? You know the classic adage about assuming I suppose?
Pretty everyone actually following TBC launch knew 5/18 was pre-patch date (This was leaked months before any announcement), and that early June was the launch window because blizzard always drops their content in competition with other MMOs.
You had all of classic to level. You could of started since 2019.
If youre not 60 yet, oh well. Better start at leveling from scratch when it gets released. Nothing wrong with that. But none of us wanna keep waiting!!!
Because YOU seem to be confused here, let me lay it out for you AGAIN.
I did not really care about race in the slightest.
I waited until prepatch because of reduced XP rates and increased quest rates.
If I enjoyed Vanilla, I would have played Vanilla. Instead, I enjoy TBC with its changes to classes and so on.
I would not buy a boost. I want to play the game as intended.
I know you could not level in prepatch as a Blood Elf or Draenei. Wanna know why? Get on close, let me whisper this in your ear. I PLAYED BACK THEN. This does not change the fact that people who are leveling, LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE, because prepatch got released for any of the aforementioned reasons - such as talent changes, class balance, pet scaling, XP reduction, more quests, etc, have only 2 weeks to level whatever they’ve made.
If I made an Undead or a Troll priest - I would still only have two weeks to level. Why in the HELL would I level in Vanilla with lower XP gain, if I didn’t like that design and not have enough quests to finish the grind to 60 because of previous efforts I didn’t want to take? You’re telling me I should have played something I hated and disliked in order to have fun with something I have fun with?
… I assume there’s some substance involved with your thought process.
yeah after playing ALOT of the beta and seeing all the issues and looking at reddit and seeing the issues clearly tbc isn’t ready for release and should be delayed a week or two unless they can fix a majority of these problems quickly.
I’m sure your company would appreciate you wasting their money and resources so you can play wow from work. 42 hours a week? That is a vacation for me.
