Final Thread on Paladin Mobility (Wings of Liberty/Avenging Leap)

I’d argue that Judgement use to be Rets finisher in the past. Final Verdict has basically filled that role at 10 yards.

This is a great response comment for the thread. Very good points and your perspective is much appreciated!

The decision to not grant Paladins, specifically Retribution and specifically for Retribution PvP is a massive miss by Blizzard.

I am not sure what could ever change their mind. I wish I had a more noteworthy platform just for the hopes of scoring a more in-depth interview for that team regarding Paladin mobility.

All that can be done now is consistent feedback. I personally have been leaving responses and feedback on as many unique sources as possible. Forums, in-game, Twitter, Youtube etc.

Turns out I may just have to quit pursuing my business degree and instead pickup game design. Build a good resume, move to California and get hired by Blizzard to finally fix it from within.

You know what the real kicker about this is. It’s that your follower from Legion Arathor has the Avenging Leap/Wings of liberty and it’s the 1st move he does every time when you enter combat.

They don’t give a squat about pvp , it’s pretty obvious

Now this is one I did not know.

Sad times for Paladins indeed…

Even if they didn’t add a leap but made steed better I’d be happy.

Maybe something like:

30sec CD
2 Charges
Last 10 seconds
Removes and makes immune to roots, snares
Cannot be dispelled.

Did we get any mobility changes lol?

Yes 3 nerfs on PvP mobility.
Removal of law and order.
Removal of the undispellable portion of unbound freedom
Hallowed ground doesn’t work with any of the concecration modifiers and the baseline concecration now has double the live CD.

Gdi man. They are making it a point to make evoker worse for season 2 when it was already a hot mess for all of season 1. I was super stoked to play Ret for season 2 since I’ve already written s1 off and deleted my evoker. now all these last in changes coming in basically telling me to just not to even bother at all.

WTF they nerfed unbound freedom LMAO

I don’t give a squat about PVP either, but I’m still here saying we need it for PVE. We just need it in general, for everything.

Having a 20 yard stun must be a warrior thing too, or a DK thing

Not just nerfed, kind of gutted. Took away it being undispellable, but gave it CD reduction if dispelled, then they were like “Nah that’s still too much mobility for the arguably least mobile melee.” and took that away.

honestly freedom preventing knock backs is infinitely more useful than leap

its looking decent but idk if its enough to resub to play the rework as a ret main. with judgement slow and movement boost 2in1, unbound freedom movement increase base talent(if it was undispellable) but i still hate steed. its ugly, its useless, you ALWAYS have to burn Blessing of Freedom to use it, and did i mention i HATE it? atleast give us an option on the nodes for steed for something else. they’re so incredibly lazy nodes, no choices, 1 point, you get the worst movement ability in the game. am i supposed to be happy about that?

I’ll definitely be resubbing to play if they increase our mobility while buffing our range. the mid-range paladin playstyle has always been my favorite. earlier iterations being shockadin playstyle. but if they put their foot down as “this is what you’re getting for mobility, give up” then i’m not resubbing to play a reskinned wheelchair spec for the 3rd or 4th expansion in a row.

Wait, does BoF prevent knockbacks now?

stead is even worse if you are a draenei. since you need to glyph it for it to even be useable.

no, but it should. once it does, theres no point for a leap, in a pve standpoint

it would work towards a good counterplay in pvp too, if you pre-freedom a thunderstorm, blastwave etc. proactive skill plays
