I’m not personally trying to put you down on your attempt to rally people up, but people have left WoW for many reasons, I don’t think it’s particularly healthy to put your entire psyche into the fact that ‘FFXIV is better than WoW because of X and Y’. Just go and play it, and enjoy yourself. Don’t give yourself a mental disease by seeking approval on the forums, just play the game broseph.

I see it more as a cry or hoping the WoW team sees it. They liked/loved WoW and want to see it grow and have more options.

All the things you listed is so trivial to me… more of housing, how you look, how you dance, you mentioned Darkmoon Faire … nothing mentioned about fun gameplay of killing stuffs. All you listed wont sell me to play it.

I like how many people include this feature but conveniently leave out the incredibly arduous task it is for the average player to actually procure said housing.

Yeah, had a guild member who has been playing FF14 for a long time and even he said it’s extremely hard to get one.

Most of that stuff I don’t care about, good thing another game does all that so Wow doesn’t have to.
they have spent a LOT of time on PvP in this game, it is very doubtful they won’t be back - of course, they picked a one post alt to make this thread on, so they can sneak back quietly.

Recently I found out it is not too hard to find a house.
It does take some of your time, however, as you have to go through the different housing instances to see the plots.
But there usually is a plot open. I could get a small plot right now if I wanted. But I am saving for the big boy, getting a big plot is harder than a small plot. People lose their plots if they are offline for a month, if I remember correctly. And while you do not mind losing 3.2 mil gil or less if you are one of the vultures circling around the housing plot along many others waiting for the price to go down (prices go down when not purchased), losing about 50 mil gil is a little more sad.
So people with big plots are more likely to remain subbed.
Apartments will never be lost though, and only costs 500.000 gil. And there are about 180 apartment per ward in each hosuing instance, and I believe there are 24 wards to pick from.
There enough apartments for everyone.

I really don’t understand the appeal of i can unlock dances for my character. I can’t se me in the middle of a town oh look the dance i learned that’s so silly…

I don’t understand the appeal of almost all of what OP is raving about. They do play on a RP server though.
