My problem with FFXIV’s OST is how heavily synthesized everything is. Beyond that, I agree. Shiva’s theme is still one of my favorites.

PvE is pretty stale, but I think it’s because of how stagnant the classes really are once you’re done leveling. There’s 0 variety in how you play a class in the game, the fact you can freely switch classes on the same character helps a little, but not when it comes to PvE content.

The gear progression is my favorite part, and it’s funny because I have a friend who swears that getting gear in FFXIV is harder than WoW because you have to “work” for it. He doesn’t play WoW at all and I still don’t know where he gets that opinion, but I like the fact that gear is easier to get in FFXIV. ESPECIALLY as a casual player.
